25.01.2022 Today at our Edgeworth Depot we said goodbye to Peter Adams. Peter commenced work in 1998 and has driven the same school run for the past 21 years. His work ethic, commitment to looking after his passengers and our buses will be missed. Peter has been an important contributor to the culture at Edgeworth; his sense of humour and mateship has been integral to our operations. Enjoy your time with your family, Peter, it is well deserved. All the best from everyone at the Edgeworth Depot.

13.01.2022 Good morning from our QCity Transit depot in Queanbeyan

11.01.2022 With school heading back after the summer break we would like to remind all motorists that when you see a bus with flashing lights, you must slow down to 40km/h. The flashing lights indicate that the bus is picking up or dropping off children. Our drivers are entrusted by parents and the community to ensure their children travel to and from school safely.... You can help us keep children safe by: - Slowing down to 40km/h when bus lights are flashing; - Looking out for children crossing the road near bus stops, in school zones or along bus routes; - Giving way to buses when they merge back into traffic. For more information visit: https://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au//bus-flashing-ligh

09.01.2022 On Sunday we helped out with a great cause, assisting The Run Beyond Project by bringing Airds High School and Chester Hill High School students for an early start in Smithfield to compete in Sydney Marathon Clinic Road Race Series. The team participated in the half-marathon, 10km and 5km race events. Well done to all and we’re glad we could help out with transport on the day.... The Run Beyond Project is a charitable organisation which uses running as a mechanism to promote goal-setting, commitment and resilience in high school students in need. It supports teachers to implement its program in their school setting, building capacities around goal-setting, commitment and resilience in all participants as well as creating opportunities for students to interact with their communities, share positive experiences and gain a sense of social inclusion.

Discussing topics such as safety, customer experience and depot operations; drivers were able to gain an in-depth understanding of the vital work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure customers reach their destination safely and on time. We wish all our new drivers the best as they begin integrating into the community over the coming weeks.

07.01.2022 On behalf of the local community, we’d like to thank our friends at Fire and Rescue NSW Station 057 Wentworthville for their commitment to bus safety. This week our staff from the CDC Northmead depot provided potentially life-saving training to Fire and Rescue workers, showing them how to safely lift buses in the event of an incident. We’ll continue to work with them to keep procedures for safely lifting all the types of buses used in the area from double-deckers to minibu...ses at top of mind. We love working with frontline workers!

05.01.2022 Just before we head into the Easter long weekend, we’d like to acknowledge all the behind-the-scenes silent heroes. On top of our bus drivers, train drivers and other public transport workers, we're talking about the posties, delivery people, cleaners, childcare workers and educators, truck drivers, checkout staff, supermarket workers and anyone who's provided support so we can still maintain some sort of normality in our everyday lives. We see you, we acknowledge you and thank you for keeping essential services going so that we can stay connected, go to work and live in the ‘new normal’. Thank you for all you do every day. You are doing an outstanding job! #cdcnsw #covid19 #coronavirus #thankyou #flattenthecurve #silentheroes
