25.01.2022 Hi all, We just wanted to give a quick update on the discounted parking at the Waterfront Campus that CDULSS is rolling out this semester. Our deal with the Darwin Waterfront Council allows students to receive parking for $4 a day for 12 months, which is renewable every 12 months throughout your study. There is a $10 admin fee per car registered that the Waterfront Council have agreed to waive if the student is a paid CDULSS member. In order to activate this deal, we need a ...minimum of 70 interested students. We are extremely close to this number and you can apply here: https://cdulss.org/i/resources/parking-discount-application We will send you a vehicle registration form as soon as this number is hit. Please do not go directly to the Waterfront as they will not be able match this deal individually. Additionally, we have secured funding from the CDU Student Services and Amenities Fund that allows us to waive the admin costs for students who might register for this after the first round, but also to try to subsidise the cost of parking over the year. Perks of joining via CDULSS: $4 per day, no strings attached $10 Waterfront admin fee waived if you are a CDULSS member Renewable every 12 months throughout your studies Access to all CDULSS materials and first preference to any exclusive events and content SSAF funding to waive the admin costs after first round Potential SSAF funding to reduce parking cost over the year Feel free to contact us at [email protected] Cheers, CDULSS team
24.01.2022 It's been a long and tough year for many, but we've made it! We're wishing everyone the best end to 2020 possible, and looking forward to another year of BLAWS/WLAW group chats, stressing over exams and just in general all being badass law students.

17.01.2022 A new Agony Anth has dropped! This time Dr Anth answers a question that's been around for a generation ... why do lecturers hate Wikipedia? Wikipedia has come a long way since the early days and can be quite useful, but looks like citing it is still up there with "it came to me in a dream" https://youtu.be/7x5Ft5Rw7H8
09.01.2022 Why does Karen say wearing a mask is against human rights!? Why does legal philosophy matter!? Father Anthony has pulled out another video from his sack just in time for Christmas on the often overlooked topic of "Jurisprudence." https://youtu.be/ukNmQv1S6uk
08.01.2022 Hey all, just a quick reminder that our next public meeting is tomorrow, Sunday, 28 February 2021, at 6 pm ACST! All welcome to attend. This meeting will be held on Zoom, via this link: https://charlesdarwinuni.zoom.us/j/87242525805
06.01.2022 For all those getting ready to graduate! The College of Law has partnered with CDU to offer PLT for CDU students. The College of Law has Full and Part time NT PLT courses starting on 7 December 2020 (with other dates all year round in other jurisdictions).... COVID-19 & Zoom Arrangements The first week of our PLT courses always commences with your physical attendance at our first week Onsite for a week of Skills Workshops. Unfortunately we won’t be conducting the physical Onsite in Darwin in December because of the lingering risk of COVID-19. We anticipate resuming physical Onsites in Darwin and other jurisdictions in 2021. With our 7 December NT Courses, we will conduct our first week Onsite and our Skills Workshops via Zoom. So you can commence the NT PLT course without physically attending in Darwin. (The first week via Zoom also currently applies if you are interested in PLT courses for admission in other jurisdictions.) Please check our Website as to when our physical Onsites will recommence. Hopefully they will again be in place, for our next Onsite and Courses in Darwin starting 12 July 2021 (TBC). For further information, please visit our website at www.collaw.edu.au Time difference with Zoom Workshops Our Zoom Workshops are ordinarily scheduled to run between 9am - 5pm Monday - Fri in that first week of our NT PLT courses starting on 7 December 2020. Currently there is a 1.5 hour time difference between Sydney and NT. For that reason we will push back our start time so that our Zoom Workshops will run between 9.30am 5.30pm (Sydney time) Monday - Fri in that first week. So the Darwin time for our Zoom Workshops will be 8am 4pm (NT time) Monday - Fri in that first week of the 7-11 December 2020.
05.01.2022 Despite what law memes say, I don't actually like arguing. But arguing at law is different - it's impersonal. I can argue without hurting anyone's feelings! But is it always so? Can the profession really be collegial? Anthony shares his experience in the latest video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpXAH5j5BcM
