23.01.2022 Worship @ St Paul's Ceduna, 10.30am November 22 Jesus made it abundantly clear that matters of ‘social justice’ ARE ever so important to him. It’s not an optional extra apparently! Could our very lives depend on how we ‘blessed ones’ respond to the needs of those who are ever so ‘cursed’ by their circumstances? It sure sounds like it. Interesting

22.01.2022 Earlier this year we promoted 'In My Blood It Runs'. We've just received this update via Marilyn Wall in the LCA office: "You may be interested to know that the... movie ‘In My Blood It Runs’, about a young Arrernte lad, Dujuan Hoosan from Central Australia was aired on ABC TV and will be available on IVIEW for the next few weeks. This doco-movie touches on the challenges of identity and culture. I know COVID-19 impacted those wanting to go see this movie, but it is now available free-to-air." See more

18.01.2022 Did you know The song "It Is Well With My Soul" was written by a successful Christian lawyer Horatio Spafford. His only son died at age 4 in 1871. In 1872, th...e great Chicago fire wiped out his vast estate, made from a successful legal career. In 1873 he sent his wife & 4 daughters over to Europe on a summer trip on the ill fated SS Ville du Havre. Since he had a lot of work to do, he planned to follow them later. The Ship sank and he lost his 4 daughters with the wife being the only survivor. She sent him a famous telegram which simply read, "SAVED ALONE...." On his return home, his Law firm was burned down and the insurance company refused to pay him. They said "It's an Act of God". He had no money to pay for his house and no work, he also lost his house. Then while sitting and thinking what's happening to him, being a spiritual person, he wrote a song - "Whatever, my Lord, You have taught me to say - It is well, it is well with my soul". My dear friend, a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life, career, job or family life, what do you say? Do you praise God? Do you blame the devil? A good attitude towards God makes Him move on your behalf. Just sit down and say, "Today, God, it is well with my soul, I am thankful I had a peaceful sleep, I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me, I am thankful I have a job, I am thankful that I have Family and Friends. Above all, I am thankful that I have the Lord Jesus Christ on my side." Be blessed and don't be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don't know what they have been through to get there (test, trials and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. "Little is much when God is in it. It Is Well With My Soul!" If God is for us, who can be against us? See more

14.01.2022 Dietrich Bonhoeffer believed that "only the suffering God can help." Go figure! Come along this Sunday at September 27 @ 10.30am as we reflect some more on the blessings of prayer...

14.01.2022 When is it OK for 'the church' to try to foist its values and attitudes on [the majority] of people who are not religious and who don't agree. Many would say it's never OK! History has much to teach us... Come along at 10.30 this Sunday to St Paul's as we reflect on 'matters of church and state' and as God graces us with his presence in worship once more.

14.01.2022 OUR CONCERN FOR 'THE LOST' The words of Romans 10:9, when you think about it, could be a slap in the face to our treasured perceptions that God is gracious! For if we take those words of Paul just by themselves God could be seen as entirely ungracious, favouring only a select few who believe and say the ‘right things’. Thankfully Paul has a lot more to say and we’ll reflect on that together this coming Sunday.... See you there, fellow Cedunians! See more

11.01.2022 Serving together provides an opportunity to see people's gifts, faith and values in action. Do simple things that show God's love in the world. Open the door for someone, give up your seat, and smile! www.growministries.org.au

07.01.2022 Hi folks. You have no doubt heard the news. Let's pray for all who are being affected way more than us by the virus outbreak right now, and that this hard and fast lock-down will have us back in our worship gatherings and each others homes soon. For now, batten down the hatches, stay well, and be there for one another on that phone and on that screen hey! Shalom. In His grip. Pastor Andrew
