Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 (CMD) is a short film festival for Documentaries and Mockumentaries that involve a STEM based theme. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).... The short film Festival, held annually in Canowindra NSW will be on Saturday he 12th October this year. The idea behind Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 is to showcase and encourage people of all ages to wonder at the marvels of STEM (Science, Technology,Engineering and Maths) subject matters. This years signature items is "Wave" which must be included creatively somewhere in your film. The festival is to support rural and regional youth access education, training and jobs through grants, scholarships, support services and resources. So please enter a short film and make it interesting and uplifting and suitable for general exhibition or keep the date free and attend the event on the 12th of October 2019 for a gold coin donation. Categories are as follows: Best Documentary (Over 18 years of Age) - 8 minutes in length - $1,000 AUD Best Mockumentary (Over 18 Years of Age) - 8 minutes in length - $1,000 AUD Best Documentary Junior (12 - 17 years and under) - 4 minutes in length - $500 AUD Best Mockumentary Junior (12 - 17 years and under) - 4 minutes in length - $500 AUD Best Documentary (0-11 years of Age) - 2 minutes in length - $250 AUD Best Mockumentary (0-11 years of Age) - 2 minutes in length - $250 AUD Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 Short Film Festival proudly accepts entries via FilmFreeway.com, the world's best online submission platform. 06.01.2022 Ladies and Gents .. after much discussion the committee and organisers have decided it best for the community, guests and performers to postpone the event in re...gards to the current recommendations by the Government in respect to public gatherings and COVID-19 situation. IT WILL BE RESCHEDULED for a Spring time date so hold onto your tickets while dates are planned pending Gordi's availability. Tickets can be refunded via Eventbrite however be assured anyone has purchased tickets your listing and payments are secured should you wish to hold on until a new date is locked in. 05.01.2022 Please share far and wide. Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 is this weekend Saturday the 12th of October. Everyone is welcome to attend at Moorbel Hall 40 Auxiliary St Moorbel / Canowindra from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. ... The movies will start at approximately 7:30 pm. The cost is a Gold Coin Donation on entry. There will be a sausage sizzle and movie snacks e.g. popcorn and drinks available on the night. The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra which hosts the film festival was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education, training and vocation aspirations. So please come along and enjoy !!!!!
