24.01.2022 Covid 19 has made me even more aware of how important it is for a Celebrant to have a colleague or network they can call on, to hand over their work to, should they suddenly become ill. In the 15 years I conducted weddings and the 16 years I have been conducting funerals, I have only had to get someone to stand in for me, for 2 weddings and 1 funeral. I have also been able to assist other celebrants. Throughout this current crisis, I have been asked by another celebrant who had the opportunity to view on line, a service I conducted, if I would be prepared to support them should they not be well. This is a wonderful way to be able to support one another and our clients.

07.01.2022 A sad but beautiful send off today for an amazing 45 year old daughter, wife, mother of 3 beautiful daughter's, sister and friend to many. A funeral doesn't have to be serious, it can be light hearted. This one had the deceased's mobile ringing, tears, laughter, swearing, zambucca shots at the graveside as a final toast and a beautiful pony with flowers and photos of her family around its neck to lead the hearse to the graveside. I was very proud to play a part in this different but wonderful send off with about 400 of her family and friends. May you guide your family forever from afar Danielle. RIP
