21.01.2022 2020 State Championship Timetable We are extremely fortunate to be in a position to host our regional qualifying event and we would like you to please keep tha...t in mind and note the following key details: * We will be strictly adhering to the Stage 4 Covid guidelines set by the WA State Government. This includes venue capacity so please be mindful of this when inviting guests. * if you or your guest are suffering flu like symptoms or have a fever, please stay at home. * Dancers must come to the venue with hair/wig/make up already done. This is to alleviate prolonged gatherings in bathrooms and other areas of the venue. * After Presentations are over, the theatre will be emptied so that it can be cleaned. No one will be permitted back into the theatre until the cleaning has been completed. * Tickets will be ONLINE ONLY. No cash will be accepted. Tickets can be pre-purchased via the trybooking link that will be circulated shortly. Only one persons contact details per group will be required, however, you will need to enter the full name of each person attending and the school you are associated with. You will need to present your barcode to be scanned to collect your wristband. *Programs will be pre purchased also via the online trybooking link. No cash will be accepted. * Due to Covid, for this year only - All dancers will receive copy of results via email no later than 24 hours post presentation. Email addresses have been collated by teachers from entry lists. * Dancers must be ready to walk on stage no less than 30mins before the sessions scheduled start time. All first rounds (with the exception of Sub Minor 6 years and Under) will be the heavy shoe round. * Teachers will have the competitors numbers. There will be no registration desk. * Hand sanitizer stations will be set around the venue and ALL dancers will be required to sanitize their hands prior to entering the marshalling area and prior to exiting the Marshaling area post performance. Any other questions - please ask your teacher who will be able to access the answer for you! We look forward to seeing you and appreciate your understanding and best efforts to ensure this runs as a safe and friendly event for all.

Our first session of this kind is led by Fiona Holmes ADCRG who is the principle of the McAleer Irish Dance School in Melbourne, the creator and director of Jump'n Jig and has a Bachelor in Education. This session will be held online on Sunday September 13th, from 10:00am 10:30am Eastern Standard Time. Whether you are an experience jigger under the age of 5, or a newcomer with an interest in Irish Dance this fun session will cater to all abilities and levels. 16.01.2022 August Feis Location: Leisurepark Balga, 109 Princess Road, Balga WA 6061 With many other regions still in lock down, we are very fortunate and extremely t...hankful to have the opportunity to host and attend a Feis. With this in mind, the safety and health of our community remains our priority and there will be strict guidelines in place. Please read the below carefully and should you have any questions - direct them to your teacher. 1. Limited capacity of maximum 120 in venue to comply with Stage 4 guidelines 2. ONE spectator per dancer 3. Seating will be grouped together by dance school and each school is responsible for the cleaning of that section. 4. All spectators and dancers will be required to completely vacate the building after the completion of the session 5. Cleaning in between each session will be completed 6. Hand sanitizers will be available for use 7. Sections will run Light shoe dances and then change to Heavy Shoe dances Presentations and Prizes No medals or trophies will be presented for individual places. ALL dancers at the end of their session will be called to dance floor and presented with a certificate and button pin as a keepsake for participating in the Feis. Once received they will form a line, take a bow and audience will clap. All dancers will then return to their group seating area and remain there while the results for each section are announced. No dancers will be required to return to the dance floor during the result. All dancers and spectators will be required to vacate the hall once all results have been announced. Please note: If you are feeling unwell with fever or flu like symptoms - stay home. We know this year has been challenging and we are so thankful that we get to see all of your bright and cheerful faces next weekend!

For our upcoming feis we will be presenting each dancer with a certificate and we'd like for these to be extra special and ...mark the occasion of AIDA WA reuniting at a feis! We would like our dancers to submit a small piece of art that we can print on our certificates. There are no age limits we'd love to have as many of our dancers involved as possible. The theme is Irish Dancing in 2020! Send your work to [email protected] and include your name and school by next Monday 17th August. We are so fortunate to be one of the few regions in the world with the ability to hold a feis and to get the opportunity to see our feis friends again! We are busy planning this feis around current Stage 4 restrictions and your teachers will send out further details very soon!
