06.01.2022 Well the 2020 basketball season has come to a close and in keeping with 'firsts' this year, we weren't able to have a break up and trophy presentation. That does not reduce our pride in any way in how the Celtics teams have performed this year and the way they managed their way through a very dysfunctional season. To the committee, coaches and managers, a huge thank-you on the behalf of everyone in the club and lets hope for a simpler version of the season in 2021.... Registrations will begin in January and we will send out communications as per usual. For families new to the club, we will ask for registrations and then late January and early Feb we will have a couple of weekend sessions to grade the Celtic players into teams. This gradings usually start the weekend before or after school commences. Players need to register before we can do the gradings and if you have a player who is new to the sport and you are hesitant to commit to the season and the costs it brings, just contact the club directly after you see registrations are open on our Facebook page. If you like the page you will get notifications https://www.facebook.com/celticsbasketballgc In late Feb the gradings against other clubs start and there is 4 weeks of grading before the season proper starts. Please be aware that because of the high demand we do cap the number of teams and existing players get priority in the initial two weeks of registrations before we open to all. Our club is run by volunteers so they will be taking a well-earned break between Dec 15 and 7 January so will not be responding to emails or phone calls during this time. If you need something urgently please text 0433 172 929 and we will endeavour to get back to you within the week. To all our members, thankyou for helping us through 2020 and have a very well deserved break over the holiday season.
