25.01.2022 CC ARAFMI staff and participants recently thanked Brian Reeves with a morning tea. Brian and his wife Monica have been a great source of support for CC ARAFMI and have encouraged our organisation to grow. Brian is a long-term member of CC ARAFMI Board and President of Mental Health Carers NSW Board. With much gratitude, we have inducted Brian with lifetime membership and have installed plaque of dedication at our Narara location, Lerida House. Brian acknowledges the support we have given him during in his difficult times, and continues to be involved with our organisation as an active Board member. #community #ccarafmi #mentalhealthmatters #gratitude

24.01.2022 We love these imaginative clay pots! As well as an opportunity for participants think creatively and feel grounded, it was a chance for program participant and first-time facilitator, Tor, to run a workshop at The TrustBeyond the Stigma. Tor says I learnt a lot that morning. I realised that I can be myself, I can make mistakes, I can admit that I have made mistakes and that's ok. It is important for me because I realise that people do accept me and value me as I am. And... it was thanks to ARAFMI, as it was such a safe place for that to happen. To just be human. And that experience was worth so much to me. Thanks for being part of our family Tor! #thetrustcentralcoast #ccarafmi #creativity #mentalhealth #centralcoast #centralcoastnsw

15.01.2022 Happy new year to all the individuals and the families we support and serve, and our friends on the Central Coast and beyond. As we move into 2021 we thank all the service people, health workers and volunteers who help to keep us safe and well. This butterfly was created by participants from 'The Trust Beyond the Stigma' at Lerida House, representing the unique journeys of change we can face in our lives. ... Moving from deep within the cocoon to the world beyond, the butterfly develops its strength and uniqueness. Each one at their own pace. Sometimes struggles lead us to become a greater version of ourselves.. #ccarafmi #centralcoast #centralcoastnsw ##mentalhealthmatters #nye2021
