23.01.2022 The following was posted by Imogen Wall in the UK. So my goodness. A couple of days ago, I threw out an off-the-cuff post on aid worker tips for surviving lockdown and quarantine. Today Ive woken up to find its been reshared thousands of times. Im getting comments from strangers around the world, messages of thanks, even requests to translate it. If youll forgive the expression, it appears to have gone viral. The overwhelming reason it seems to have a struck a chord is ...Continue reading

19.01.2022 Another lockdown? Infections are on the rise Why I am wearing a mask -... I am educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus. No, I dont live in fear of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. I dont feel like the government is controlling me any more than when I wear a seat belt, dont drive drunk, obey the speed limit, or stop at a red light. The world doesnt revolve around me. Its not all about me and my comfort. If we all could follow these simple steps, the virus could be under control, and businesses back open. Wearing a mask doesnt make me weak, scared, stupid, or even controlled. It makes me considerate. When you think about how you look, how uncomfortable it is, or what others think of you, just imagine someone close to you - a child, a father, a mother, aunt, uncle, or grandparent - choking on a respirator, alone without you or any family member allowed at bedside. Copied and posted. Can you do the same? Wearing a mask is not political. Its public health!

18.01.2022 Today is World Kindness Day. It is a day when we recognise good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us. Kindness is a fundamental part of the human condition which bridges the divides of race, religion, politics, gender, ability and post codes. Today take time to notice acts of kindness around you no matter how small, and remember to think kindly of others first without judgement. Also dont forget to be kind to yourself today. This will help to keep you strong.

07.01.2022 An addition to the last post ---unfortunately there are people who fall through the gaps. Still concerned about those who cant access online shopping because of no data or smart phone, no bank card that can be used, and also those who cant understand text messages. So if you know anyone in that position please help them out where you can.
