09.01.2022 @droughtfloodaus and @RotaryAustralia are bringing ‘one stop shops’ to Bothwell on Thursday 3 December to provide support and advice on the drought and challenges like COVID-19. These events bring together all levels of government, charities, not-for-profit and agricultural organisations to support farmers and rural and regional communities living through the immediate and longer-term effects of drought. It is an excellent opportunity for farmers, families and rural communities to grab a sausage sandwich, catch up with friends and neighbours and find out what support is available during drought and tough times. Come down to the Bothwell Town Hall, Alexander St, Bothwell between 4pm and 8pm and say hello

07.01.2022 TENDER CLOSES TODAY AT 4.30 P.M.
07.01.2022 Dear Patients, Due to the recent Covid-19 spread in the north of Tasmania, we at Bothwell Doctors are tightening precautions in our clinic to protect the most v...ulnerable members of our community. This means limiting the number of people coming into the clinic on a daily basis and avoid congregating groups of people in the waiting room. To this end, we would like to conduct most GP appointments over the phone through bulk- billed 15-minute telehealth sessions. If you are after a script, following up on results or chronic health conditions, telehealth is an ideal alternative to face-to-face appointments. Our doctors will ring you at home at the appointed time. We can also do health assessments for 45 to 49 year old patients, over 75 year old patients and indigenous patients, as well as care plans, mental health plans and referrals for everyone with a chronic disease through booked telehealth appointments. If you require blood tests, immunisations or procedures- we are happy to see you face to face but expect to be screened for respiratory illness prior to entering the facility. From now on we will not be assessing anyone with these symptoms within the facility (unless we think there is an urgent need or in an emergency): Runny nose, fevers or history of fever (including night sweats and chills), acute cough, shortness of breath or sore throat If you have any of these symptoms let us know and we will arrange a telehealth consultation as soon as possible. Hopefully, in implementing these simple precautions we can keep Bothwell Covid 19- free and continue to provide the best medical care for our community. Stay safe until we get to the other side of this pandemic. Warm regards, Your Bothwell Doctors Team See more
