25.01.2022 Reminder that our AGM is this weekend for those interested.
25.01.2022 The AGM for the Central Highlands Easter Sunflower Festival Committee is being held 10am Saturday 22nd August 2020. All positions will be declared vacant. Please send in any nominations or agenda items for the meeting to [email protected] ... The general meeting will follow the AGM with a light morning tea provided by current committee members for all that attend. Please message the page for AGM location or for further information. 22.01.2022 Meet Ella, our new Junior Princess Entrant. Ella is in year 9 at Emerald State High School. Her hobbies are netball, touch, singing and speech and drama. Ella also has an interest in modelling. Please make Ella feel welcome!
22.01.2022 SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL CANCELLED Unfortunately due to the ever-changing circumstances we find ourselves in and due to government regulations we have had to make the difficult decision in cancelling all of the Sunflower events for 2020. The possibility of postponing to a later time in the year will be discussed when restrictions are lifted. Wishing everyone a very Happy and Safe Easter Break, and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and though it may be difficult to ...see we will get through this as a community. 20.01.2022 Meet Mollie Hawkins! Mollie has joined the quest as a Junior Princess Entrant. She has an interest in touch football and hair styling. Mollie also loves working at her part time job and running a small business with her grandma called Marni + Moo.
20.01.2022 LIVE DEMO- What you will need: 10am - 3 x a4 pieces of paper (2yellow and 1 green or 3 white), glue stick, black texta, sticky tape, scissors IF YOURE USING WHITE FEEL FREE TO COLOUR/DECORATE THEM FIRST.... 1.30pm - 1 x paper or plastic plate, black texta/marker and whatever you want to decorate it with!
20.01.2022 In light of recent advice from the Government regarding large events unfortunately the Central Highlands Easter Sunflower Festival Parade and Family Fun Day to be held on Saturday 11th April will not be going ahead this year. We will still be holding the High Tea on Sunday and Speech night on Wednesday. FURTHER INFORMATION ON THESE TO COME.... 19.01.2022 What a fantastic first Twilight Markets last night. A huge thank you to everyone who organised the event and the community who supported our stall. Thank you also goes to Grace (2020 Queen) and junior entrants (Sophie and Ella) for all of your help. If you missed out on getting your glow product, don’t worry, we will be back at the next Twilight Markets on Saturday 5th December.
18.01.2022 Get your float ready!!!!!! Registrations are now being taken for float entries for the Easter Sunflower Festival Parade. Easter Saturday 11th April 2020. 16.01.2022 How to make a Sunflower LIVES - MONDAY 10AM AND 1.30PM I am going to home 2 live sessions on Monday - set your alarms! - these will also be saved to the page in case you miss them.... What you will need: 10am - 3 x a4 pieces of paper (2yellow and 1 green or 3 white), glue stick, black texta, sticky tape. 1.30pm - 1 x paper or plastic plate, black texta/marker and whatever you want to decorate it with! 09.01.2022 Manitoba Sunflower Festival, that we share a great history with, is unable to have their festival this year as well. However, they have been able to run their pageant in a modified version with online being a big component. Below are the times if you would like to she what the girls do and watch the crowning of their 2020 queen. Reminder the times are in Canada time. 05.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2020 CH Easter Sunflower Queen Grace Simpson. We had a special dinner for her last night and her fundraising money was given to her chosen charity Bush kids. Well done Grace.
