20.01.2022 ATTENTION CUSTOMERS We are trying tremendously hard to keep both our staff and customers safe during this pandemic so that means we need to be realistic about taking very real precautions. All staff are wearing gloves. Trolleys, baskets, rails and registers are being cleaned and sanitised as often as possible but this cleaning regime will not be enough if customers are coming in sick. So we plead with our customers to PLEASE utilise our delivery service if you are unwell or... you are feeling uneasy about coming into the store. We also would like to urge our customers to practice some precautions in store as well to help stop the spread so we have come up with a few suggestions; - Wearing gloves - Maintaining social distancing - Using tap & go instead of cash - Avoid handling products you do not wish to purchase - Avoid handling your mobile phone before sanitising - Avoid touching your face and skin - Avoid bringing your children shopping If you have no choice but to bring your children in then we have heard of some fun suggestions from parents and those suggestions are; tying the ends of their kids jumpers or long sleeves so they cannot touch anything and washing those jumpers afterwards. as well as playing the floor is lava but instead of the floor being lava, everything else is lava. We understand that practicing some of these precautions publicly may make you feel silly because we are in such a small community with little to no transmission (that we know of). But feeling silly is a small price to pay in the scheme of things. yes being a part of a small community may make us feel safer because we are further away from large swarms of people but that doesn’t mean that we are exempt from this and because we are such a small community that means we have limited health services available. If those services reach breaking point then that means people will have to be transported elsewhere. Which may or may not be possible in the coming weeks so PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS, THIS IS SERIOUS
