20.01.2022 On 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. With their armies retreating and close to collapse, German leaders signed an Armistice, bringing to an end the First World War. We will remember them #lestweforget #11thday11thmonth11thhour

Don’t worry I’m still coming to visit at this stage but we will need to scale back and ensure that the environment is safe for both patients and myself! Stay Tuned & Stay Safe!

15.01.2022 What a ride the last few months have been - Covid world has brought its challenges both professionally and personally for me! Thank you to all who have supported me through some big changes - and those of you who continue to choose me to care for you and your very important feet. I seem to have found my feet (bad pun intended) in my home visiting service for Wycheproof, Donald, Birchip and all those places that are in between! ... It’s been brilliant seeing the ever changing country side, but it’s been tricky and challenging to see the volume of clients that I would regularly with a consulting room! Thank you for all of you in understanding that it may take some time to get back to you with driving and consulting in between - you have all been incredible and I am very lucky. Rural communities and their health are integral. I will continue to be flexible in my approach to providing a Podiatry service to communities who provide so much to our country. - Kahlia

14.01.2022 The look of concern when a lady who looks like she’s going to explore the moon in all her PPE says she’s going to fix up your ingrown toenail! Baby’s nails are very soft and pliable, some certain factors can lead to some irritation and ingrowning of our tiny ones toenails! When the toenail is sore and ingrown it is best to avoid tight socks or shoes which may aggravate the toe and push the nail back into the skin. If the ingrown nail remains for longer than a few days then the podiatrist may need to gently and carefully trim down the side of the nail with specialised tools to resolve the issue. We strongly recommend that you do not try cut or dig at the ingrown nail yourself as this can lead to infection and may worsen the severity of the ingrown nail.

14.01.2022 How cute is my assistant?

10.01.2022 Let's face it - Sore feet suck and the fact 1 in 2 Australian's are affected is even more of a concern. Having problems with your lower limbs? Podiatrist's are the people to see! Foot Health Australia #foothealthweek2020

06.01.2022 Some people just brighten your day - beautiful blooms out of a home garden!

06.01.2022 Seems we have a new routine here! Our new consulting day at Wycheproof will now be WEDNESDAY As of tomorrow - I will be back consulting within EWHS (Wycheproof hospital) & tomorrow is fully booked! I'm currently working on a consulting day for Donald and at this stage with construction works at the Birchip site, I will still be providing a home visiting service. Stay tuned for updates around these two towns.... It has been a tricky time but it's nice to see some regular routines being put back in place - Excited to finish 2020 on a good note!

05.01.2022 What on earth is a Kincrome tool box doing in my office? I love what it represents to me - my family and their strong trade backgrounds, I've always got a little bit of them with me everyday!

04.01.2022 It would mean so much to me if you'd support my walk this October. Even by signing up for a great cause! I’m walking to support mental health research Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year?... In fact, every day in Australia, 8 people will die from suicide. Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them. It is something that I have navigated through for many years. This October, I’ll be walking to make a difference to the lives of people touched by mental illness and suicide! I'm fundraising to raise money for life-changing research into treatment and prevention of mental illness, as well as vital support services. https://www.onefootforward.org.au//kahlia/one-foot-forward
