23.01.2022 The Central Wimmera CTC 2 day shoot is all done and dusted! First off we need to thank all those who were involved over the course of the weekend, from trap fillers, referees and scorers, those who helped in the office and the wonderful ladies who made the kitchen run smooth all weekend. Everyones help is so crucially important and we are ever grateful! Secondly and very importantly to our gracious sponsors who without them our we wouldnt have been able to have the fantasti...c prizes we had on offer for our winners. Huge thanks to Wimmera Outdoors, Green Taylor Partners, Plowright Farms, Central Wimmera Firearm Repairs, Horsham Amcal Pharmacy, and Latus Jewellers. The sponsorships were fantastic and gratefully accepted by our winning shooters. Congratulations go to all our winners over the course of the two days, with big congratulations going to Ash Hawker for taking out the overall in our Geoff Strauss Memorial Trophy event which is very close to our hearts, as well as Ashley Bolwell who took out the Overall High Gun for the weekend. 21.01.2022 Sunday the 7th of April was the day for our April shoot. The weather was very tricky with the wind causing some havoc, but still fantastic to see 20 shooters come and have a crack from far and wide. Thanks as always to everyone that assists throughout the day, and the ladies in the kitchen for always keeping us well fed! ... The 50 target double barrel Championship was taken out by Roger Lehmann and Ash Hawker who both shot the only possibles. The 30 target Point score championship was taken out by Chris Dalrymple with an awesome 88 points out of a possible 90!! Great shooting in some trying conditions! The High guns are very graciously sponsored by J & A Shooting Supplies. The boys continued support is always greatly appreciated and this year the teeam have put up sponsorship for the Overall High gun as well as Ladies Veterans and Juniors. The J&A Shooting Overall High Gun went to Ash Hawker with an impressive 136 out of a possible 140. And the Veterans high gun winner went to our own Doug Harris with 121 out of 140. 20.01.2022 Well some absolute wild weather for our March DTL shoot! Huge thanks to all those that travelled and stuck it out in some crazy windy conditions. Still some excellent scores shot and hopefully some fun was had :D A big thanks also to our ladies in the kitchen who gave us an amazing feed as always, and to those who helped throughout the day to referee, score, fill traps and anything else!... 18.01.2022 As most will now be aware shooting is set to begin to return in the coming few days. Central Wimmera CTC is excitedly looking forward to getting back to what we love! 17.01.2022 Sunday the 2nd of June gave us some wild weather, but we cracked on and thankfully no one got too drenched!! As always a huge thanks to those who travelled down, helped out, refereed, scored, filled traps, and out lovely ladies in the kitchen keeping us well and truly fed and watered as always. 16.01.2022 An enormous congratulations to our very own Ashley Bolwell who dominated at the Tasmania CTA State Trap Carnival. Ash took home the title of State Handicap Champion as well as the State Handicap 25 metre winner. He then went on to take out the Tasmanian State Overall Highgun!! ... H gun for the day was Wayne sanders. Thanks to all the help during the day and to all the travelers.

11.01.2022 A very hot day at central Wimmera today for the first round of the quad shoot. We had 6 squads that braved the heat. First event 25 tgt db was Luke Reyne b grade O/A... Second event 25 tgt ps was Roger lehmann AA O/A H-Cap was Luke Reyne O/A and doing a meter J&A Shooting Overall H-gun was Phill Reading with his first ever H-Gun Veterans was Gary Grant Ladies was Meagan Barns No juniors Thanks to all the helpers in the kitchen/office/scores and trap loaders. Also shooters that traveled that made the day a success. See you on the traps

09.01.2022 The 3rd of March saw some weird weather for our March shoot, bit wild with the wind and a touch of rain with plenty of heat! But still a great turn out with 27 shooters attending and some great scores all round. The first event was the 40 Target Alf Facchin Memorial Double Barell, which was won by Roger Duthie after a short shoot off. ... The second event was the 40 Target Ball Trap, which was won by Ash Hawker with the only possible. Ash also took out overall for the day, with 79 out of the possible 80! As always we greatly thanks our ladies in the kitchen, the guys in the office, and everyone who helps set up, referee, score, and pack up. It made it a greatly run day that went by without a hitch. Thanks again and we hope to see you all at our April shoot on the 7th. The day will be a 12 noon start, and the events will be a 50tgt Paddy Pannan memorial double barell, and a 30tg points score. 08.01.2022 Last night we held our Annual General Meeting for 2019 at the Central Wimmera Clay Target Club. During the meeting Aari Mellington was voted in as President for the 2019 season and Peter Mellington as Vice President. Our Secretary Treasurer for this year is Doug Harris, with assistance from Rob Papst. ... Rob has been our Secretary Treasurer for a number of years and his hard work behind the scenes has been immensely appreciated. Glad to see him scale back a bit and have a much deserved break! A sincere thanks to Bill Jorgensen for being our 2018 president, and we greatly appreciate his constant support of the club. 01.01.2022 Sunday the 6th of December held our last shoot for 2020, and true to form the weather was crazy, wild and wet! But we still saw some friendly faces and some great shooting! A big congratulations goes to our very own Chris Jorgensen who shoot brilliantly in the horrible weather only dropping one point to take the Overall Win for the 64 Target Horsham Clay Pigeon Championship! An excellent effort and a very well deserved win! Also we had the utmost pleasure to commend some of o...ur very hard working being the scenes members. A very special lady who works long and hard behind the scenes, Shirley Harris. It was a pleasure to present Shirl a plaque to thank her for her extensive and continued efforts at the club. Its a small token of our appreciation but one that I hope you enjoy. We also took pleasure in inducting Shirl as a Life Member of the Central Wimmera Clay Target Club. As another surprise to one of our very long standing members, we decided to grant another Life Membership, to our very own Bruce Papst. Bruce has been around the traps for a very long time and a part of our club for almost as long if not longer! It was a very very great pleasure to present Bruce with his Life Membership, something he himself didn't think he would receive. I think we may have even seen his eyes tear up a little with joy! As the president I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of Central Wimmera CTC for 2020. It has been an incredibly tough year for all of us and I'm continually blown away by peoples support and generosity through thick and thin. To name everyone individually for their efforts would take me a considerable time, but I am sure they all know who they are and just how much their efforts are appreciated to keep our club turning the way is.
