19.01.2022 To all our valued customers, URGENT ADVICE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN BUSINESSES VEHICLE SERVICE AND REPAIR South Australia Circuit Breaker restrictions as of 12:01am 19 November.... In the early hours of this morning, the S.A Government provided clarification on how their circuit breaker restrictions are to be implemented. At this stage of the SA lockdown, businesses offering vehicle repair and mechanical services can remain open for the purpose of essential goods or services. A customer (1 person per household) may only leave home for the purpose of obtaining essential goods and services including "vehicle and mechanical repair services". There is no clear definition on what is an essential good or service. We would interpret that e.g. fitting accessories or general service may not be considered essential. However, e.g. repair services required for an essential worker to travel to work may be considered essential. Based on our experience during the recent Victorian lockdown, the new advice means that you will not be penalised for being open, but your customers will be unable to attend your premises unless they are in a permitted industry. Businesses should use appropriate discretion when booking in work during the lockdown period. In the spirit of the lockdown if it is not essential and can be delayed until after the lockdown, it should be.
