Brooke, Chanel and Gemma, chose Carlo Acutis - a young boy who was recently Beatified - presented his journey to sainthood in a 1 minute video. 03.01.2022 Last night Diya of year 9, participated in the annual Rotarian Clift Public Speaking Competition at the Novotel in Parramatta. Students had to present a 4 minute speech on the topic: 'In your hands' and were then given an unseen topic ('March to your own beat') and 3 minutes to prepare a 1 minute impromptu speech. She was up against some worthy competition including, The Kings School, OLMC and Parramatta Marist but she presented admirably, speaking with confidence and expression that received a personal mention from Rotarian Madame President Paula Jesse. Diya was awarded 2nd place on the night and is very pleased. Well done!#publicspeaking #novotel #paramatta #speech #maristeducation #debates
