16.01.2022 10 new students started their journey toward their new careers last week. 6 days of face-to-face training at the beautiful Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre in sunny Tamworth. Our new crew travelled from South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland and surrounding New South Wales to begin their introduction to the industry. Many of these students arrived with excellent existing horse skills and knowledge but enjoyed refresher lecture topics inclu...ding Work Health and Safety, Horse Health, Emergency First Aid, Anatomy and Physiology, The Equine Dental Provider Industry, Animal Welfare Regulations and Sourcing Information for Animal Care. They spent their days with four internationally qualified dental technicians who inspired them with their stories, knowledge and expertise. 2019 student Emma Stockdale was a further inspiration, bringing along some of her own horses to treat with trainer support, as she prepares to graduate this coming June. Special thanks to Downunder Equine, The Edge Equine, Capps Manufacturing, Equine Specialties, Pimbury Dental, World Wide Equine and Greentree Stockhorses for their continued support. Students were introduced to a wide range of instrumentation and had their first exposure to the fabulous Pimbury Dental App. Don't forget, 10 more student places will become available in November 2020 for a January 2021 start.

14.01.2022 Prior to the recent restrictions due to COVID19, we were lucky enough to complete another successful face-to-face training block in sunny (and now green) Tamworth NSW. The beautiful AELEC facilities were utilised by Joblink Plus Training for a ten day training block that saw our students complete 2 written exams and 111 live horse treatments in preparation for their upcoming final testing week in June. A huge thank you to all horse owners who supported the course by providi...ng horses at AELEC or by allowing an onsite visit. We are very grateful for your generosity Students were once again spoilt for choice with a large range of instrumentation being generously provided by Downunder Equine and Pimbury Equine. These businesses provided equipment from The Edge Equine, Capps Manufacturing, World Wide Equine, Equine Specialties and Equine Blades Direct for students to use and purchase. Many thanks to all these providers for the work they do to improve our industry and to both Pimbury and Downunder for their unflagging support. Horse owners were very impressed with the professionalism of students and with their detailed dental records created using the Pimbury Dental App. Staff at AELEC and support staff from Joblink Plus Training were constantly on hand to ensure the smooth delivery of these training weeks. Whilst this group of students are heading toward graduation, we also look forward to welcoming back our second group for their next training block in the next few months. Our waiting list for 2021 intake is filling fast. Keep an eye on our page for enrolment opening dates and be quick! See more
