We must do this to meet the strict protocols we have in place to ensure we can continue providing veterinary care to the community.... 24.01.2022 This is Coco the 7 month old Pug. Coco unfortunately fractured her elbow and as a result of her injury had a leg amputation here at CVH. Coco is recovery really well and we can’t wait to see her progress in the future!

19.01.2022 Plaque is a sticky substance containing bacteria which develops on teeth even 20 minutes after you brush!! When it is not removed by brushing, biscuits, bones or other products then overtime it calcifies and hardens turning it to tartar. Tartar is a problem in the mouth as the gums react, become inflamed and shrink away from the bacteria infested tartar which means more tooth root becomes exposed which becomes problem. It’s important that if you are concerned about your pets teeth, to have regular dental exams with our friendly veterinarians

Indoor pets should be kept in a well ventilated and cool area. Animals who are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods of time are susceptible to suffering from heat stroke, which can rapidly lead to decline and death. Signs of heat stroke include: Rapid breathing Weakness Diarrhoea and vomiting. Collapse Seizure If you suspect your pet is overheating or showing signs of heat stroke, actively cool down immediately and seek veterinary advice immediately.
