05.01.2022 In December our charity funded 50 portable lung function machines. These spirometers are for regional and remote CF adults living in North Qld, the total cost $18,696. The Prince Charles Hospital CF team are overseeing the project & distribution. This is a great initiative, patients will now be able to test their lung function at home and track it on an app on their mobile phone. This allows more regular and closer monitoring of lung function by the CF team. It will be of great assistance to those living in remote locations. This reduces the need for attendance at hospital for lung function testing, and the associated risk of infection.
