17.01.2022 To be able to fight fire, we must first understand fire and that is where Thomas Duff, Senior Research Scientist at CFA comes in. Victoria’s landscape is compl...ex, and we need scientists like Thomas to better understand what drives all types of fires, how they move and what resources we need to fight them. This information is then used to help our firefighters and protect them during our fire seasons. His role involves using a lot of science, from looking at how climate change and weather affects fire conditions to research and experiments done right here in Victoria. Thomas explains why he loves his job for #ScienceWeek.
