21.01.2022 Hey you Mob! We get asked about our Childcare all the time at the CFC but we have a Kindergarten so we were wondering if you know the difference? Comment below if you do.

21.01.2022 A great example of story stones. Story stones are a beautiful way to ignite conversations and learn about culture with your jarjums. Many symbols are universal across the hundreds of traditional language groups. Collect stones in your yard or neighbourhood or buy some from your local hardware store or dollar shop and let your jarjums create and tell the story.

21.01.2022 Jingeri Families! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. A reminder to our families old and new we would really love your feedback on your experience of our online Facebook program. To all our families we hope that you are keeping well. Keep an eye out for a post this week about playgroups and programs at the CFC. It is going to be different but a great different.

19.01.2022 Introducing the newest members to the Early Childhood Team, Trauma Bears for Jarjums in playgroups and kindy to hug and squeeze. A friend of the CFC, Lucy, lovingly created and donated them and we are very thankful to be the recipient of her hard work. A special thanks must go to Missy mindDog for coming to visit and deliver our Bears. #australianredcross #huggingabearhelps #thankyouforbeingawonderfulfriend #caringforourjarjums

19.01.2022 Take the time today to call a friend or loved one them to let them know you care. Importantly let your jarjums know how much you love them. With all that is going on in our world at this present time jarjums are like sponges and will absorb the stress and anxiety that we are feeling. Let them know that there are family, friends and trusted adults to talk to if they need a yarn. #RUOK #hugyourjarjum https://youtu.be/KEKhTSagJ3I

A new campaign from the Queensland Government has recently been released "Look before you Lock" As the weather starts to get warmer it is an important reminder to check your vehicles for your jarjums before locking it. The tips are great especially the idea of leaving your bag, phone or something that you will you need to take with you when you leave the car in the back seat with your jarjums.... Our Jarjums are precious let's keep them safe. https://youtu.be/4Ng6N5pMc2Q https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/

14.01.2022 Jinger Families! Sandy has been busy creating a calendar so you can yarn with your jarjums. Each day take the time to have a yarn with one of the tasks. It might be drawing, an activity or just that, yarning! We are already part way through November but that's ok Just means you can do a couple of extra ones on any particular day. Language is important for jarjums and is done best when its with a family member. Keep yarning up and your jarjums will be having deadly conversations with you in no time. Let us know what you think and if you have any ideas for next months

13.01.2022 Continuing on with our posts from Nature Play Qld. Today's is 33 things to do before you turn 3. We continue to encourage caregivers to send in a pic of you involved in one, some or a few of the activities with your jarjums. Every moment spent yarning with your jarjums and connecting them with the world around them is a learning opportunity that will have a lifelong positive impact on them. One single moment can be a wonderful memory they recall on to share when they are an adult.

13.01.2022 Jingeri Families! Learning about Culture can be fun for jarjums. Take a look at the pictures attached for a playdough recipe and traditional shelters. Combine these two and you have a great opportunity to connect with your jarjums and talk about Aboriginal culture. Have a yarn when you are collecting leave and sticks, natural resources.
