25.01.2022 On November 18th, the Energy Minister Dr Anthony Lynham announced the extension of the Interest-free Loans for Solar and Storage (IFLSS) that will help up to 1500 Queensland households and small businesses cut their power bills by storing solar power and using it after sunset. The IFLSS program offers three assistance packages including solar, battery and solar-battery assistance packages. Initially, only the solar assistant package was available to householder and now all t...hree packages are available. Only limited packages are available and it is on a First in, Best dressed basis and expected that those assistant packages go very quickly. Only 500 battery and 1,000 combined solar battery assistant packages are available from the Queensland Government. Local Mackay based company Carbon Friendly Enterprises (CFE) and a handful of other renewable energy companies have been selected as the Best of the Best in the solar industry by the Department of Natural Resources and Energy to deliver this program in Queensland. CFE is the only locally based business in the Mackay, Townsville and Whitsunday region to deliver this program in Queensland. CFE was established in 2007 and has delivered over 300 solar and renewable energy projects over the last decade. 17.01.2022 Top 10 Questions to find a quality and reliable Solar Installer A recent audit of residential solar PV (photovoltaic) systems by the Clean Energy Regulator reveals that over 20% of the installations were unsafe including faulty wiring and unsecured solar panels. The results of this audit led the Federal Energy Minister Angus Taylor to highlight the severity of the issue and warns about the safety of this rapidly growing industry. At the same time, CHOICE released its Solar S...urvey Results of over 1,000 CHOICE members online. CHOICE members reveal that smaller, independent solar providers deliver a much more reliable service than for example Origin Energy.
