22.01.2022 Duncan Campbell, a long term member of the CFMEU is asking you to support Ronald McDonald House Charities this Saturday by buying some ‘silly socks’ to help raise money for seriously ill children. Sadly, Duncan is too familiar with the work Ronald McDonald House Charities do, having used their services for his daughter Mia. On November 16, it would have been Mia’s 11th birthday. Mia passed on the 26th of May 2010 after falling seriously ill. Few of us could fathom the heartac...he and devastation the loss of a child would cause; our thoughts are with Duncan and his family this Monday, 16 November. Please support Ronald McDonald House Charities this Saturday, so they can continue supporting the families of children diagnosed with serious illness.

19.01.2022 Our Organisers have been out to the SA Construct Workshop over the last two days to fix a number of safety issues. Instead of owning up to not providing their workers with a safe work environment and agreeing to fix the issues, SA Construct management threatened our Organisers with the ABCC instead. When we called SafeWork SA to intervene, they either refused to show up, or snuck on site without assisting us.... SA Construct, don’t you think it’s time you treat your workers with the respect they deserve? And SafeWork SA, up your game and do your job!

19.01.2022 The CFMEU Construction Division and the MUA have developed a flyer that provides a helpful explanation of gendered violence, who it affects and who can help stop gendered violence in the workplace and in the home. We encourage you to use the flyer and hold site meetings during the 16 Days of Activism to help stop gendered violence. All workers have the right to be free from all forms of violence and harassment at home and at work.... #16DaysOfActivism
