05.01.2022 20 YR CELEBRATIONS FOR ST JOHN OF GOD HOSPICE Twenty years ago the community of Perth rallied to raise money to create palliative care for the local community south of river in Perth. An extensive community-led fundraising campaign was started with a $1M donation from St John of God Health Care and land donated by the Sisters of St John of God. Local business, community groups, government and individuals all generously donated and in October 20 years ago, the Hospice opened. For the first ten years, the Hospice was run by the community, after which it became a part of St John of God Murdoch Hospital. Congratulations St John of God Health Care
