25.01.2022 Sold - Trollholmsund Finmark Norway. The painting captures a very cold, still and overcast day, yet still a summer day - as it was when I visited the Trollholmsund rock outcrops nearby.

10.01.2022 Love hiking and painting the West MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia. A note in my diary says it all. Sitting on the top was of Mt Sonder, the final stage of our sojourn into the red centre of Australia, made me reflect over the whole trek. It is hard to believe that some of the mountain ranges, such as Euro Ridge, were way, way past the horizon. And that some of the Heavitree Range we laboured up steep slopes and down deep valleys on our hard 30 Kay day long hike to Orm...iston Gorge were far, far down below us. Just looking around and seeing that we were surrounded by mountains made me realise the awesome picturesque magic of one of Australia’s best scenic areas: It’s blue, blue skies, it’s white ghost gums, it’s high red mountains and chasms with eagles soaring, its mountain slopes and valleys of red soil dotted with spinifex and it’s cool tranquill waterholes. It is certainly an area which draws your you back like a powerful magnet.

07.01.2022 Eilean Donan Castle must be one of the most photographed and painted sites in Scotland. My painting of the castle, on a overcast and foggy day,attempts to embody the misty mood of past tough and perhaps forlorn times, but also to still show the castle in all its beauty.
