24.01.2022 Just spent second week getting things set up at new digs. The white rooms on the right are heated laminating rooms. Perfect temp while infusing, and then post cure temp overnight. 19.01.2022 This is the moment that inspired a generation of surf sports athletes. Still the only junior to win the open Ironman, still the only athlete to win Junior and Open Iron at same Aussies. And GK nearly repeated the feat the following year. Got beaten in the junior iron by the smallest of margins after winning the Open 20 min beforehand.

18.01.2022 I was only a junior in 89" and it was some of the biggest surf I've paddled in. We paddled a reverse course and had 12min time limit to finish the race because of the conditions. Grant Kenny was everyone's idol back then. This was a textbook lesson in ski paddling. People talk about luck in surf, what this video doesn't show is about an hour before this race GK was out searching for the way out past the break.
