21.01.2022 Healthy Resolutions You Can Actually Stick To Making a resolution for the New Year doesn’t have to be a big change in fact, sometimes smaller resolutions can have the biggest impact on your overall wellness and may even be easier to stick to. Here are a few resolutions to consider as we embark on 2021 together:... 1. Eat more whole foods. You’ll be making trips to the supermarket in the new year as you always wouldon your trips, simply aim to fill your cart with more fresh, organic foods instead of processed goods. 2. Be more present. An easy way to achieve this is to limit screen timelike putting away your phone during time with friends or family. 3. Remove negative self-talk from your thoughts. If you find yourself having a negative thought, recognise it and follow it up with a positive thought to help train your brain. For example, change I make a lot of mistakes to There are many things I’m great at.

16.01.2022 Let me be clear about this: weight loss happens in the kitchen. Is exercise benficial? Yes, of course. Does exercise make a difference? If you want to lose weight ... That depends! Let me give you an example: I currently work out 6 days a week for at least 45 min but some days I do way more than that. And when I say work out I mean high intensity, something that really raises your heart rate & makes you sweat. I eat healthy and with working out like that I get away with eat...ing the occassional dessert, treat, snack and with having a drink ... I maintain my weight and don't stress about the odd take away (Chinese, not the burger kind ) But that's a lot of exercise, aka calories burned and I love doing it ... If you only work out twice a weak and hardly break a sweat you will have to make adjustments to your eating/drinking habits if weight loss is your goal. See more

15.01.2022 I'll be taking a break over the holidays, reopening for business on 04 Jan 2021

14.01.2022 That face! But seriously: It's okay to indulge occasionally but now it's time to focus on your goals again ... it's a cheat day not a cheat week!

13.01.2022 Irrespective of Pete Evans antics outside the food world you have probably heard about the Paleo diet because of him ... although there are plenty of other Paleo enthusiasts out there and you certainly don't have to support Pete Evan's products. And with Gluten intolerance on the rise Paleo offers those who experience side effects from bread and pasta an option to ditch grains all together. Want to know more about it? Check this out

12.01.2022 Here is another brilliant reminder from Drew Baye "Perform any exercise with the same serious attention to detail you would give any skilled activity you are passionate about "

02.01.2022 I have literally had this conversation with a client this morning ... have a look at this short 5 min video to learn how to survive the holiday season without losing your progress or putting on weight. P.S. If Drew's "no alcohol" approach is taking it too far (as it is for me too ) here is my tip: drink a glass of water after every stubbie/glass or whatever you are drinking out of! You'll be cutting the amount of alcohol (= calories) back and you won't have a hangover the next morning! https://youtu.be/F3I87kn5cR0

01.01.2022 In the Fitness Industry we seem to think we constantly need to reinvent the wheel ... the newest movement in Funtional Training being Zuu and Animal Flow But do we? Inventing new combination moves might make a workout more interesting but the downside is that these exercises are often performed poorly because the moves are too complicated. Here's another short 5 min video from Drew talking about Functional Movement and what it actually means
