21.01.2022 Don't forget Man's best friend in this heat either. Please check on your pets!

21.01.2022 While Queensland’s borders remain unchanged, anyone currently in Queensland who has been in Victoria on or since 21 December should get tested immediately and q...uarantine at home or their accommodation until they receive a negative result. We are closely monitoring the situation in New South Wales and Victoria and urge Queenslanders to reconsider non-essential travel to these states as it is an evolving situation. If you do decide to go to Victoria or New South Wales, you need to be aware of the potential consequences, such as border changes and not making it home to Queensland before hotel quarantine is imposed. If you’re already in Victoria or New South Wales, consider coming home. Stay up to date with the latest COVID-19 updates here: https://www.qld.gov.au//conditions/he/coronavirus-covid-19

11.01.2022 We have no new cases to report in our region again today From 1am on Thursday, October 1, the number of people who can gather at venues and events is inc...reasing, as long as it’s outdoors. It means businesses like outdoor dining, beer gardens, theme parks and zoos, can increase the number of patrons outdoors from one per 4 square metres to one per 2 square metres. The maximum number of attendees permitted at events with a COVID Safe Checklist will increase from 500 to 1,000 per day. Seated capacity at outdoor stadiums, amphitheatres and outdoor performance venues with a COVID Safe Plan can increase from up to 50% to up to 75%. More information is suggesting that outdoor gatherings are safer. But it's still important that Queenslanders remain vigilant. Stay safe by: Social distancing (think two big steps) Washings hand regularly Covering coughs and sneezes Avoid shaking hands, kissing or hugging others Staying home when unwell, and getting tested.

06.01.2022 The way you report employment income is about to change. From Monday 7 December, you’ll report the gross amount you and your partner were paid during your repor...ting period. You’ll be able to find this amount on your payslip. You’ll still report the hours you worked as usual. But if you haven’t been paid during your reporting period, you won’t need to report any paid income, even if you worked some shifts during that period. Your reporting date won’t change, only the way you report your income. Go to our website for more info: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au//way-you-report-your-employme
