25.01.2022 My Suunto Saturday started with a hilly ride around Pescara with Verena Steinhauser . I loved riding through all the little old towns. This afternoon I did a pull set (3.6k total) in the pool and followed it with a super slow 8km run on the trails. I ran hard last night & I was a little bit sore this afternoon so it was nice just to cruise on the soft trail. ... So far I’m really enjoying my time in Pescara and looking forward to the next few weeks! Hope you all had a great start to the weekend #suunto #suuto9 #movescount #suuntosaturday

23.01.2022 How crazy was March?! My plans and goals heading into March were SO different to what they are now. From racing, packing to go overseas for the next 6+ months and trying to get fast again and suddenly I’m preparing to spend winter in Australia (my first in 10 years ) , have no idea when I’ll race again, my training is focusing on getting strong & staying healthy & we now have another year to prepare for the Olympics .... Despite that, its all been pretty chill at my end. I’m healthy (with a strong back ) and have a great team around me who have supported me in making decisions for the next few months. Now to see what April brings . - witsup.com

16.01.2022 Stage 1 of Super League Triathlon Equalizer done! It was a 600m swim individual time trial, which I wasn’t super excited about but I’m happy enough with how it went. I finished up 9th, 21 seconds behind the leader . (Getting up the stairs at the end was harder than the swim ) .

13.01.2022 It’s been a great week here at Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca preparing for Super League Triathlon this weekend (mostly spent trying to recover from last weekend ) . I think the highlight for everyone today was meeting Rafa Nadal !! Just as we start to forget the pain of Malta we’re jumping in for 2 more days on what looks to be an even tougher course . ... I’m just trying to remind myself how much I love hills . See more

13.01.2022 Time to do it again . Today is stage 2 of the Equalizer - it is swim/bike/run/swim/bike/run with no breaks - but we are set off the time that we finished behind the leader in the 600m swim tt. I’m off 21 seconds behind the leader so I have my work cut out to try and catch up . Race starts at 1:30pm local time (11:30pm aest) . You can watch live on the Super League Triathlon website or on FOX Sports Australia in Aus!... Here’s hoping my body feels ok after yesterday .

12.01.2022 Today Super League Triathlon we race the Triple Mix - 3 races with 10 minutes in between each round BUT the format changes each race. Race 1 - swim/bike/run. Race 2 - run/bike/swim. Race 3 - bike/swim/run. Race 1 & 2 are a mass start with race 3 a pursuit start according to your accumulative time in race 1 & 2.... The distances are super short (300 swim, 4K bike, 1.6k run) but the course is incredibly tough with 2 steep hills each lap of the bike & run. See more

09.01.2022 Today’s ride . A little windy, a little cold but a whole lot of appreciation to ride my bike

09.01.2022 Almost time to go again . The past year has been rougher than I could have imagined and I’ve certainly had to learn a lesson in patience. It’s strange being back in Edmonton as after this race last year was when I committed to change in order to become a better, healthier, stronger and most importantly happier athlete & person. I’ve achieved a few of those already but I’m still working on it all it’s taken me longer than I expected to unravel an issue I put up with for t...oo long & as frustrating as it can be at times, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m in a good place right now & i’ve honestly never felt so supported. Today I have another opportunity to progress. Edmonton @worldtriathlon Series starts at 15:30 local time Saturday (07:30am Sunday AEST) . Watch live on triathlonlive.tv . - Tommy Zaferes Triathlete-Photographer

09.01.2022 Jumped in the ocean last night after my run session. I’m loving that the weather is still great here in Italy . Every day has been mid 20’s which is just fine with me . I’m enjoying mixing some sessions up as I prepare for my final races of the year Super League Triathlon . Last nights was a tough one (much harder than it looks!) . ... If you’re looking for some inspiration for a session this weekend, try the below : 4x5 minutes as : 1) 2mins full gas,3mins threshold. 2) 90 secs full gas, 3:30 threshold. 3) 60 secs full gas, 4 threshold. 4) 30 secs full gas, 4:30 threshold. Each ‘full gas’ effort should get faster but try and keep the threshold effort the same pace throughout. I used the Suunto 9 to keep track. The last effort is tough . Let me know if you try it! Session thanks to Brendan Sexton Triathlete . #suunto9 #suunto #movescount

06.01.2022 The Equalizer on Sunday was a bit more difficult for me. I started 21 seconds back because of the swim time trial and I wasn’t able to catch up and finished up 10th. I definitely struggled a bit more than on Saturday . I managed to survive any sort of elimination this weekend which is a first for me at Super League Triathlon looking forward to round 3 this weekend in Mallorca!!

04.01.2022 Lining up for my 9th World Triathlon World Championships tomorrow (3 as u23 & 6 elite ) . I love preparing for a big race & I’ve really enjoyed the past few weeks getting ready for this one. Thank you Triathlon Australia for selecting me to represent the green & gold again in 2019 & to everyone who’s helped me get on to the Grand Final start line

03.01.2022 Last pre race run of 2018! This week I’ve definitely taken the less is more approach as I try to recover from Super League Triathlon & the travel to Japan from Europe, so my pre race was a little different to usual. I race at 9:30am tomorrow at Miyazaki World Cup for my last race of the year! #suunto #suunto9 Suunto

01.01.2022 Day 2 of Super League Triathlon : the eliminator. I had another battle with Nicole van der Kaay- Triathlete but managed to get the tape this time around in a pretty fun sprint finish. Racing the super league format was going to be a real test to see if I could hold myself together and I’m excited that I finally felt like I saw a glimpse of my old self. A few days ago I was questioned if I was still motivated to push myself in racing, or if I was simply going through the mot...ions. I understand from the outside that at times it’s probably looked like that - and I have even wondered it myself which has definitely played on my mind. On Sunday my body allowed me to fully push myself in a race in what feels like forever and I realised afterwards that I wanted to win there as much as I wanted to win u23 worlds 6 years ago. I’m still here & that feeling is enough motivation for me to keep trying
