18.01.2022 PCV COVID-19 UPDATE | 20 MARCH 2020 - Pony Club camps & PCVEC Open Week Pony Club Victoria is closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and work...ing to support the measures implemented by the government and health authorities to keep the community healthy. We wish to stress the importance of members, zones, clubs and event officials listening to the directives from government and health authorities who are best placed to implement measures to manage this current public health concern of COVID-19. Social distancing is the term given to reducing social contact with others. It is one of the strategies being used to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community. With social distancing in mind Pony Club Victoria have notified zones and clubs that camps should be postponed or cancelled or if conducted should not include overnight stay(s) until further notice. In line with this policy the PCVEC Open Week has been cancelled, we wish to thank the the many clubs who had booked camps at the centre in April. Whilst we do need to cancel the camps during PCVEC Open Week, we can advise that in line with government policy the centre will be available for day use for clubs to use at any time, and on any day, for free. This will continue for as long as the State of Emergency is in place. We understand some clubs are experiencing local council closures of their venues, and this may present an option to continue rallies at this time. For other clubs it may be a way to provide members with ‘something different’. It’s up to clubs how they wish to use their time at PCVEC and can be used as often as the club wishes. Simply contact Tony at PCVEC to book in. The September PCVEC Open Week will remain under review.

15.01.2022 Some really interesting policy so please take the time to have a read through, especially in regards to running rallies, camps, competitions etc.

10.01.2022 PCV COVID-19 UPDATE | 22 MARCH 2020, 6:00PM Pony Club Victoria has been closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and has worked to support the ...measures implemented by the government and health authorities to keep the community healthy at this time. Our aim has been to keep members, clubs and zones operating for as long as the Victorian Chief Medical Officer and the state and national government considered activities such as Pony Club reasonable to continue. As cases of COVID-19 in Victoria continue to climb, Premier Daniel Andrews formally announced that he will inform National Cabinet tonight that Victoria will proceed over the next 48 hours to implement a shutdown of all non-essential activity across our state to combat the spread of Coronavirus. Pony Club Victoria therefore directs clubs and zones to cancel or postpone all Pony Club activity/events until further notice effective immediately, this includes competitions, rallies, committee meetings or meetings of any type that require face to face contact. We strongly encourage clubs to seek online ways to continue certificate work, lessons or competitions with members during this suspension of activity by using online conference calling or video posting to private social media groups. Online video conferencing options include products such as Microsoft Teams (free version), Google Hangout and SLACK, further information and options will be provided to clubs and zones shortly.

09.01.2022 FOR THE ENTRANTS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE MIDLAND ZONE HORSE TRIALS Just a little note from our club to express our heartfelt apologies that with the uncertainty of the Covid-19 virus situation and especially with tighter government restrictions being implemented daily, the executive of the Charlton Pony Club made the decision to close our grounds to the Horse Trials being held on Sunday. It was by no means a decision made lightly and was mostly based around what is best for our... little community. For those who may not be familiar with Charlton, we are an aging population and need to consider the more vulnerable. The Buloke Shire Council have been very supportive of our dilemma, however feels our decision aligns with their efforts to minimize risk to the area. With Pony Club Victoria updating guidelines yesterday evening which restricts pony club activity even further, we feel the correct decision was made. Again, our deepest apologies and hope you all understand. Charlton Pony Club Executive Committee.

03.01.2022 Just a reminder: ***CHARLTON PONY CLUB GROUNDS ARE CLOSED AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL EASING OF CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OCCUR*** For further enquires, please contact our club secretary on 0427916212
