22.01.2022 Ngooloormayup is the local Noongar name for Carnac Island (pictured). It means ‘place of little brother’, with Rottnest Island being the ‘big brother’. This is a very special island to us, the Australian sea lions and the traditional owners who have a rich history and many important Dreamtime stories associated with this place. Many of these stories, passed down through oral storytelling, come from a time when the island was still connected to the mainland, before sea levels... rose and separated it This week is NAIDOC week, a time to remember our country’s true history and the spiritual and cultural connection First Nations people have with this land. This year’s NAIDOC week message is Always was, Always will be. Recognising that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. @matt.bielecki See more

22.01.2022 This mornings trip to the boat yard was met with huge relief! Especially after seeing these sea containers toppled over on the drive down

21.01.2022 After the events of the last few months theres no better time to get back to basics and explore our beautiful undersea world. As a tourism and transport operator we are exempt from the 2sq.m per person rule so dont delay and book today for your summer event or Christmas party. Weekends and key dates sell out early. by @lil_palm

21.01.2022 Very spoilt with the weather this week! With temperatures up to 26C this Sunday and regional boundaries relaxed, what are you planning this weekend? @lil_palm

20.01.2022 Tomorrow is World Oceans Day Our very favourite place to be, our office and our home The purpose of this day is to honour our ocean and how it connects us all on this blue planet A reminder to #protectourhome and a call to world leaders to protect 30% of our oceans by 2030. Providing a safe home for dolphins, sea lions, fish, sharks, seaweed, coral, whales, turtles and all the other sea creatures we adore @lil_palm

19.01.2022 Here is some key information on how to claim your free $100 voucher and how to redeem them on our tours. - You must be an Australian resident and one of the first 10,000 to register (link in comments to registration page) - If successful, your $100 credit is valid for any tour purchase over the value of $200. But..... Important!! You can ***ONLY*** book via the Western Australia Visitor centre (online)! You will find all of Charter 1s tours there ready to be booked via thier platform. Simply by searching "Charter 1" in the search bar. We will drop a link to the WAVC page below in the first comment. The voucher cannot be redeemed via our website simply because of the way they have been created. Each tour provider uses different booking systems so for ease, this promotion is being run through one central system. You are welcome to call us however with any tour related questions! (We receive your booking confirmation instantly once you make a purchase via the VC). - You must redeem your voucher by the end of October, and have completed your experience by the end of December. - Our Sunset Sails start up again at the beginning of Nov and will run Thursday to Sunday. - Carnac Island and Full Day Rottnest Sails have a limited schedule before 30th Dec, with the majority taking place in Jan to March. Theres still plenty of spaces currently, but we suggest not leaving it too long to book.

17.01.2022 Double the hulls, double the fun, double the benefits Heres just 3 reasons to love catamarans: Stability: Just like a flat floating platform. Leave your glass of bubbles on the table and it will be right where you left it. No heeling or tilting Shallow draft: With retractable daggerboards and no deep keel, Capella can get into shallow anchorages, right up close to shore and special spots that deeper keeled boats cant go! Space: Capellas h...uge saloon between her hulls is luxuriously spacious, add two large nets at the front and of course more space in the hulls.
