23.01.2022 Human remains were discovered by Landcare workers inside the Iluka Rainforest Nature Reserve in northern NSW in August, 2003. They have never been identified. D...etective Burke said the bones were sent to the United States where forensic testing determined the remains to be that of a male aged somewhere between 18 and 50 years. The remains were found in 2003 but could have been there for at least 12 months prior to that. Are you missing a young man from approx. 2002 onwards? Do these clothes look familiar? He might have come from any state, not just NSW. He wore size 35/89cm jeans and we believe he was wearing the shorts under the jeans - does that ring a bell? Plus an Ecko Unlimited shirt. Note - this wasn't an official shirt, he may have bought it at the markets? Detective Sergeant Grahame Burke has never given up on identifying this man.
