09.01.2022 Lets be honest, while its extremely vital we all stay home and #selfisolate during this uncertain time, were all starting to go stir-crazy, including our furry friends! Try these fun games to keep your pets occupied during self-isolation: Challenge your pooch with a food hunt around the house or yard, play a game of fetch or tug-a-war, or teach them new tricks. Encourage your cat to play with some toys a ball of paper or something shiny usually does the trick.... At this stage, walking your pets outside is still allowed during self-isolation. Just ensure youre social distancing from others and practising good hygiene. For all other pets rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and fish its business as usual! If youre in need of expert vet advice, were still open and here to support you. Contact the clinic on 9882 3433. #VetfriendsChatswood #coronavirus #animalhealth #pethealth #dogs #cats

Storms are kicking off in t...he west of NSW this afternoon and likely to reach Sydney over the coming hours. DID YOU KNOW? Pets can be scared of thunderstorms just like us! Dogs and cats have even better hearing than us, and are sensitive to atmospheric pressure, so they are more prone to storm phobia or anxiety. Remember, it is never too late to desex your pet. Get 10% off when desexing during September.* Did you know that the Council now requires all cats to be desexed before they are four months of age? At Vetfriends Chatswood we can offer early age desexing for both puppies and kittens. Please talk to us to see if your pet could benefit from this procedure. Our vets and nurses know how to look after your precious pet during this surgery.
