24.01.2022 I truly love where my job takes me. I’m out in StAlbans today checking out Alfrieda Street where we will be working with Brimbank City Council on a new masterplan. Its a great strip shopping centre with lots of Vietnamese restaurants and food stores. One of the stores was like stepping into a fresh food market in Vietnam like we did two years ago. It’s been at least 25 years since I have been out here and I love it.

24.01.2022 There are only three days left to provide your feedback on the draft Were Street streetscape plan vision and key directions. Whether you love the ideas for improvement or think some things might need to be tweaked or changed, fill in the online feedback form so your feedback is taken into consideration.

22.01.2022 A cheeky little video of how not to do face to face engagement, even if it is for charity! There is a fine line between providing and opportunity for people to share their ideas and harassment.

22.01.2022 Does anyone live, work or play in Banyule and would like to have their say on their draft Community Engagement Policy? Check out the link below.

22.01.2022 A great day popping up at Box Hill Gardens today despite the challenging weather. Lots of great feedback about what the community would like Whitehorse to look, feel and be like over the next 20 years! Green, safe and inclusive were a few things we heard as well as ‘a place where there is no Covid’ from a 7 year old! What a year we have all had!

21.01.2022 What our community engagement lives have become, one big long Zoom meeting!! We had a few workshops on the weekend and have a busy month ahead with 14 community webinars and workshops scheduled. Do you have any great tips and tricks for making online workshops even more engaging? We often use Poll Everywhere which allows people to text their ideas and feedback from their phones during workshops straight to the Zoom screen for everyone to see. It's a great tool to use online ...when running workshops as everyone can contribute all at the same time. I do miss undertaking face to face engagement with people in person and can't wait until we can get out their again but I am really enjoying getting creative and engaging online. Must make sure I do a spell check of our polls!!

21.01.2022 Share if you know someone who lives, works or visits Whitehorse and would like to come to an online workshop in Italian. Looking forward to hosting a range of workshops in five community languages for the Whitehorse 2040 Community Vision with Activate Consulting.

20.01.2022 I love the comment, ‘it feels like home’ in response to the question ‘What do you love about Darebin now?’ #darebincouncil #voicesshapingcommunities #pop-upengagement #lovewhatido

20.01.2022 This is one of the projects we are working on over the next 8 months. If you live, work, own a business or visit Whitehorse including many of the amazing cafes and restaurants in Box Hill, we want to hear from you.

19.01.2022 There has been a little delay in our new trailer being built due to Covid-19 and supplier issues but here it is in it's infancy! We have designed the new pop-up trailer to include a large electronic screen to help with outdoor presentations and will also enable people to text their ideas and feedback straight to the screen (helps with the new world of social distancing). It's being built by the team at Trailers 2000 in Queensland so fingers crossed it will arrive in the next few weeks to get ready for some modified (social distancing style) pop-up engagements in late September.

19.01.2022 Lots of great ideas already being shared at the Preston Market this morning. We are here until 2pm! #Pop-up 11 in 2021 #voicesshapingcommunities #chatterboxprojects... #popupengagement See more

18.01.2022 Another great day of collecting feedback and ideas. Today we were out talking to the Whitehorse community about their vision for 2040 in Box Hill. It’s been a little while since I have been to Box Hill and I can’t wait to go back and explore this great neighbourhood. We were located in one of Whitehorse City Council’s activation pods in the mall which is a great use of this space. Thanks to the community for all your ideas and to Nellie from the @translatingandinterpreterservice for your assistance today, we couldn’t have done it without you. #voicesshapingcommunities #activatewhitehorse

16.01.2022 We will be hosting some online webinars this week with the team from Banyule if you’d like to pop in and hear about all the proposed changes and improvements. Click on the link below to book into a webinar.

15.01.2022 We are very passionate here at ChatterBox Projects about providing children and young people a voice in shaping their communities. Check out this free Social Innovators program for 15-24 years olds encouraging young people to step up and lead. This program is facilitated by OurSay and Crazy Ideas College and starts in February. If you know any young people who may be interested check out the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVH5tnIQObs&feature=youtu.be

14.01.2022 A memory came up from 4 years ago of a giant dream catcher we made to capture kids dreams for the future at the Maroondah Children’s Festival. Their ideas were to help inform the Children and Families Plan. It was a little challenging getting it to the festival on top of the pop-up engagement trailer!!

14.01.2022 Another glorious sunny day for a pop-up at Burwood Brickworks talking about the Whitehorse 2040 Commity Vision. What a great shopping centre with great outdoor spaces. #voicesshapingcommunity #whitehorse2040

13.01.2022 It's now 'caretaker period' for most local Council's in Victoria so many engagement activities are now on hold until 6pm on the 24 October (election day) The 'caretaker period' aims to avoid the use of public resources in a way that may unduly affect the election result with most Council's suspending community engagement activities during this time. So you may find that some of the projects you planned on providing your feedback and ideas for may be on hold so check with your local Council about their own caretaker period policy or new engagement dates. 10.01.2022 Pop-Up 9 in 2021 We are spending the afternoon at Penders Park in Thornbury asking the community what they would like Darebin to look, feel and be like in 2041. Free ice cream vouchers from two local shops KENNY LOVER and IcecreamSocial for anyone that shares their ideas!

10.01.2022 Sunday washing has taken on a whole new meaning!!! #covidsafety #stayingsafe #communityengagement

09.01.2022 The topic of trees is always a hot one and many of the comments on this post shows that. It’s great that Council is seeking feedback on the draft Greening Whittlesea City Forest Strategey before finalising and adopting the strategy later this year. Make sure if you are connected to Whittlesea in anyway to have your say!

08.01.2022 Our last Pop-up for the Darebin Community Vision is happening tomorrow at the Preston Market. We will be near the Cornutopia Taco Truck from 11am-2pm so come and say hi and share your ideas for the future of Darebin. If you provide your feedabck and ideas you will receive a $5 Preston Market gift voucher to support many of the Preston Market traders. ... So come and have a coffee, donut, crossaint, South Melbourne Market Dim Sim or anything else on us.....actually the Darebin City Council! Look forward to seeing you there! #voicesshapingcommunities #AllVoicesCount #popupengagement #lovemyjob #chatterboxprojects

08.01.2022 A great workshop this morning to present and talk about the final concept designs by Bricolage Design for Stage 2 of the Penders Park All Abilities Playspace in Thornbury with the team from Darebin City Council. It was a great inclusive workshop with kids also popping in to see the final designs and provide their feedback. The team at Darebin have done an amazing job collaborating with the community to determine what was to be included in the all abilities playspace. This i...ncluded the development of a PCG Advisory Committee and a range of interactive workshops throughout the process facilitated by Council and ChatterBox Projects. Council have been fully committed to a collaborative and transparent process throughout the whole design process which has resulted in great outcomes for the community. The final designs will go up to Council on Monday night for adoption before moving into the tender and construction stage. Fingers crossed we get back to stage 2 restrictions soon so stage 1 of the playspace can be opened to the community!

06.01.2022 With the sun shining and it getting a little warmer, we really can't wait to get back out in the community with our purpose built ChatterBox trailers. Online engagement has been great but there is nothing like hearing people's stories and ideas in person in their own neighbourhoods. We have been developing a range of Covid Safe plans for all of our engagement activities to ensure our team and the community can stay safe when sharing their feedback and ideas in the future. The...re will certainly be a new 'normal'! Stay safe and keep exploring your neighbourhoods as there are so many wonderful things to discover! 05.01.2022 Last night we (ChatterBox Projects and Activate Consulting) hosted the Whitehorse City Council 2040 Community Vision Webinar with Whitehorse CEO Simon McMillian and Council Officer Renee Andresson. We had some great engagement and questions from participants which was a great start to our extensive community engagement program which will be undertaken over the next 8 months. To start off our engagement we will be undertaking 9 online workshops in six languages and for specif...ic demographic groups throughout August and September. You can check out the Whitehorse 2040 Community Vision Project at https://www.oursay.org/whitehorsecitycouncil/communityvision #activateconsulting #cochraneresearchsolutions #communityvision #2040 #voicesshapingcommunities #chatterboxprojects

05.01.2022 I felt like I needed a little colour! This is our newly tweaked logo.

04.01.2022 A great and very informative webinar tonight by the team at Banyule City Council about the vision for Were Street in Montmorency. There are three more webinars facilitated by us over the next 10 days so check out the www.shaping.banyule.vic.gov.au website for more details.

04.01.2022 If you need any simple and clear information about what Council's do check out this great website. I have just finished developing a Student Workshop Kit for teachers for the Whitehorse 2040 Community Vision and used information from this website to give the kids some context on what and how their local Council's work. A great resource. https://www.viccouncils.asn.au/what-councils-do

03.01.2022 If we can’t get out there to engage face to face, a little more signage is required and the good ole QR code!

03.01.2022 We have our last Greening Whittlesea online workshop this week with a group of inspiring young people from a range of Whittlesea Council advisory committees. It's great seeing young people so passionate about the environment and we can't wait to hear their thoughts and ideas on how to increase the tree canopy and greenery across Whittlesea over the next 20 years. There are some great examples of young people leading the way in environmental issues including the Youth for Trees Project in Europe. Stay safe. https://www.y4trees.net/

02.01.2022 Another great planning session with the team this morning Covid style!! (Sarah Bishop, Angela Walter, Robyn Cochrane)!! Looking forward to meeting in person sometime soon xx
