25.01.2022 A fantastic resource for anyone needing a bit of help. This is a free resource for anyone and everyone. Feeling a little off and not quite right, it has programs and tools to help in your mental health wellness. https://www.mentalhealthonline.org.au/

25.01.2022 As part of our community consultation, we are asking community members to complete a survey. It wont take more than a couple of minutes and the info we gather will help to provide information and services throughout the area. Your input is valuable and we thank you for taking the time to complete it. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YSBTSC3

24.01.2022 Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Six men take their own lives in Australia every day and men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women. . ...For every famous face who loses their life to suicide, there are thousands, not so famous who take their own lives. These people arent always mentioned in the press but if they were it would be impossible to ignore the scale of this issue. . We need to talk more, connect more, work that emotional muscle and sit in those uncomfortable conversations, we need to be able to sit with our mates, be present and listen, whether theyre at the highest of highs or the lowest of lows. . We can all help prevent suicide. Reach out to a mate, work on that connection, check-in regularly - so if they are ever up against it they know youre there for them. . If you feel like you need immediate help call Lifeline 13 11 14 or Mensline 1300 78 99 78 24/7 See more

09.01.2022 We don’t always know what to say when we feel like our mates are going through a tough time. . Georgia Hocking from It's okay, not to be okay. lays it out clea...r and simple. Just ask. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if a mate is going through a tough time or has actually given up on life. And life has been throwing us some serious curve balls lately so there are plenty of reasons to check-in. . As an R U OK? DAY challenge we ask you to check in with one mate today who you know is having a rough time. Ask the question but then dig a little deeper. Ask a second and third question, and when they do open up make sure you’re all ears, listening to hear and not to respond. There’s some awesome resources on how to have these convos at R U OK Day . Suicide has touched so many of us but after losing her brother Ben to suicide Georgia and her family used this tragedy to create a community to help bring the important conversations of mental health, suicide prevention and grief to the community.
