21.01.2022 Getting back to my strong self The confidence to wear a sports bra and pants whilst working out was hard to gain but here I am proud of all I have achieved with the help of Maxine's Challenge No shame now about my stretch marks, mum pouch or weird looking belly button. ... 17.01.2022 My day in photos. Up early at 6.30 to get my workout in whilst Mackenzie was asleep... which worked until she woke up and wanted to join in with Mummy doing crunches in her PJ’s. 14.01.2022 The scales may not be moving by I’m definitely moving weight in other ways! Loving this last strength phase before deloading next week. 90kg for 2 reps is my best since gyms reopened. 12.01.2022 The plus side of the adaptable training plan for the @maxineschallenge is being able to swap out exercises I don’t have equipment for or can’t do due to injury. So when single leg squats came up on my plan I was tempted to swap them out because I suck at them. But then I thought this was the perfect opportunity to improve on something I struggle with. So these aren’t pretty and I’m a long way from mastering them but they are better than when I started and that is the most im...portant thing. 11.01.2022 Shoutout to the Maxine's Challenge Booty Builder program This round I decided to move away from my usual Get Strong and try the Booty Builder program. Ever since the late stages of my pregnancy I have had issues with my right hip. Ive been treated regularly by my chiro, had cortisone injections, had blood therapy and have still had pain and issues to the point I couldn’t lie on my right side because of the pain. But since about week 4 of the Booty Builder program I have not...iced less pain, less aches and can actually sleep on my right side without issues! The progress hasn’t come without set backs or days where I wasn’t sure if it was doms or my hip deteriorating. And my hip is still not 100% but the improvement is amazing compared to where I was 8 weeks ago. 4 days a week of leg workouts was my idea of hell prior to this challenge but sometimes you gotta do the things you hate to achieve the things you want. 09.01.2022 Breakfast pies I did some experimenting and for the last week have been eating these awesome breakfast pies made in my pie maker. With a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup on top they are so yum! And completely challenge approved! Recipe is super simple - 80 grams banana, 25grams oats (I use quick oats), 2 eggs, some cinnamon and in the pie maker they go until brown. I save my dairy from breakfast for later in the day. Or you could add yoghurt as a topping too #maxinesambassador #maxineschallenge20 #wearechallenge
08.01.2022 Another 7km down! The longest I’ve ever run It’s been a busy week and I’ve not had the chance to do anything but work since Monday so I’m stoked with how this run has turned out. 07.01.2022 The end of this week just gone was a terrible one for me. Unexpected extra hours at work meant that I didn’t get my last workout done, didn’t get moving a lot on the weekend and my nutrition wasn’t completely on point. I was utterly exhausted, my daughter is sick and I am fighting off a cold. So other than working, I allowed myself to rest, I went for a gentle walk and I spent time being a Mum.... But back at it today starting with the workout I missed last week. Back feeling strong and noticing the definition You can fall off that wagon, just make sure you pick your ass back up and get back on it! #maxineschallenge #wearechallenge #maxinesambassador
