16.01.2022 PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM KDNA!! With COVID-19 being at the forefront of many people’s minds and the Government announcement of all non-essential organised mass gatherings, KDNA is cancelling its matches tomorrow and in the future. There is no time limit on these restrictions and of course we hope that Australia will be able to contain and slow the transmission.... We will endeavour to keep you updated as new information comes to hand. If anyone has any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on [email protected]

15.01.2022 PLEASE READ BELOW THE LATEST UPDATE FROM KDNA: KINGSTON & DISTRICTS NETBALL ASSOCIATION INC. STATEMENT COVID-19 UPDATE KDNA is taking the utmost care in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our netball community.... KDNA are cancelling all Matches, Representative squad, Umpire and Club training at Dales Park and Le Page and CSC until further notice. While cancelling Netball is heartbreaking we see that this is the only decision possible to support the efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus (CO-VID19) The advice from the Australian Government is that from Monday 16 March, 2020, all non- essential, organised mass gatherings of 500 people or more should be cancelled. Whilst not all our programs reach this figure, the health and wellbeing of everyone within our Netball Community is of the utmost importance. Until further notice Kingston & Districts Netball Association is closed. There is no timeline on this closure, however of course we hope that the sooner Australia can contain and slow the transmission of COVID-19 the sooner our Netball community can return to ‘business as usual’. We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support as Management work through the rapidly changing situation and consider the consequences of the closure. We will endeavour to keep you updated as new information comes to hand. In the meantime, please continue to look out for each other. Of course, if you are displaying symptoms that are associated with COVID-19 you should self- isolate and seek professional medical advice. Information about self-assessment for your risk of COVID-19 can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) website: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorian-public-coronavirus-di Executive Management Kingston & District Netball Association

13.01.2022 Just a reminder to all Members & Parents that this evening the Club is holding its Annual General Meeting at 8.00pm via Zoom. (please RSVP to [email protected] and a link will be sent to you directly). We are seeking new committee members to help us run our club. The club is run by a voluntary committee of parents all with their own full time jobs and parenting responsibilities. More committee members will make all the difference to the opportunities we can offer players an...d the longevity of the club. The commitment is bi-monthly meetings and around 2-3 hours a term. No skills or expertise is needed, just some enthusiasm. The role is overseeing the smooth running of the club. At meetings we discuss teams, uniforms, social events, fees, financial matters, new policies, coaching and training. You'd be joining a friendly team who are committed to the club and to providing the best for our members. If you are interested in attending the AGM, please RSVP to [email protected] and we will send you the link for the Zoom meeting. Looking forward to working with our new committee and making 2021 a special year.

The Club Committee is notifying all members of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). As an incorporated association, holding an AGM is a legal requirement and we must ensure sufficient numbers attend the meeting to meet our quorum requirements. At the meeting, we will call for Nominations for the 2020 committee (Nomination Form attached). All positions are open for re-election for the following positions (Role Descriptions attached): President Vice President Secretary Treasurer/Registrar KDNA Club Delegate NetSetGo Co-ordinator General Committee - at least 4-5 . Social Media . Marketing . Uniforms . Equipment/First Aid . Grants/Policies We are very excited about getting back to netball next year and hope that we can get as many volunteers as possible to help grow the club. We strongly urge all parents to consider nominating for a role on the committee to ensure the long term viability of our Netball Club. Our AGM is held once a year and Committee meetings are once every 6-8 weeks and/or on "as required" if necessary. There is probably 1-2 hours in task work each term for general committee members.
