24.01.2022 Three wonderful students from 3/4S impressed me with what they have been learning this term in technology and our mindfulness program. Harmony, Brodie and Grace have created posters using Microsoft Publisher to communicate what they have learnt about mindfulness with Miss Fiona. Harmony said ‘Be grateful for the people in your life. I am grateful for my mum and dad.’ Brodie said ‘Stay on your lily pad. Don’t get on the past lily pad. Don’t get on future lily pad.’ Grace said ‘Just be calm and relax like it’s a summer’s day on the beach.’ Great insight and advice! Well done!
22.01.2022 This afternoon NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian officially opened the Central Coast Leagues Field at Gosford. Our local member, Adam Crouch, invited five of our students to the opening. Our respectful and responsible Chertsey students represented our wonderful school with such pride. We feel honoured to have been asked by Mr Crouch to this auspicious occasion and incredibly proud of our students. Like all of our students at school, these five students, even in the presence of two politicians (some with butterflies in their tummy’s), continued to shine. Well done, Chertsey!

13.01.2022 Fantastic, committed, hard working students in 1/2D and K6T this morning. The learning and engagement in their reading and writing tasks was wonderful to see and hear. Chertsey is a small school, where children are at the centre of all we do. Staff are committed to providing the best learning experiences for all of our students. #LoveWhereYouLearn
12.01.2022 What a great first day we had today! And check out these wonderful students wearing our school uniform with pride. #LoveWhereYouLearn
11.01.2022 We are incredibly lucky at Chertsey to have our parents, carers and grandparents volunteer. In 1/2D, a wonderful student’s grandparent comes into the classroom regularly to help out. Our students get so much out of our committed visitors. Our volunteers make such a difference to our students education. It helps strengthen our sense of community, allows our volunteers to use their strengths, makes every class and every school better and it’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know the teachers and staff at our magnificent school. Working together in partnership to ensure our students are known, valued and cared for.
09.01.2022 Two really exciting things coming up this week! These notes went home last week. We look forward to celebrating positive behaviour and helping fundraise for our Year 6s.
