24.01.2022 As with so many small business' I am saddened to say that due to the impact of COVID-19 Chick N Chips will no longer be able to trade - effective immediately. Being a Gluten Free business we rely on daily deliveries of a more specialised product, sadly our major supplier is not able to do so any longer during this crazy time, with this in mind, along with the understandable drop in trade and the intent of keeping our staff safe we have made this heart wrenching decision. The... team, led by Jane (the most incredibly hard working woman I know) Henry, Mia, Kelly, Finn and Stephen mean the world to me - they work super hard and are devastated as you can understand. We, as a team, sincerely apologise, we thank you for all the support you have shown and we ask humbly for that same support when we re-open. 17.01.2022 After much deliberation we have decided to no longer supply through Uber. We apologise to the Uber customers, but it just isnt working, as a small business our customers mean the world to us and we felt we should let you know why, so heres the why - - We consistently had drivers collecting two or sometimes three orders at the same time, this means you are waiting for someone elses order to be dropped off before yours and by the time you get your food it is certainly not a...t the same quality which we sent it out. - We had drivers accidentally taking only one of two bags - so you dont get your whole order. - Uber generally is busiest at our busiest times in store, this impacts on the speed of service to the customers who come in and we felt we were not able to do the right thing by both customers sets, so Uber had to be turned off at times to accommodate our in store customers, this resulted in our Uber customers becoming frustrated and we dont like having any customers upset. - Lastly, Uber take 35% of each sale - this is just too much out of the bottom line, we use high quality ingredients and to be able to provide 100% of our menu Gluten Free we pay a little bit more than the average shop for thing such as flour, crumbs, sauces, salts and a whole range of other ingredients. So Uber, its not you, its us, its time to say goodbye, we wish you well, but you just dont suit us. For our Uber customers, we are sorry if we are disappointing you with this decision, its a toughy but one that had to be made. And for our loyal customers who come in store - we love seeing your faces and thanks for all your support. Adios Uber. See more

10.01.2022 One of the things I love about the incredible people I work with is the passion they have for people, animals and the environment - this is across all three of my business - The Organik, Chick N Chips and Skin Things. As with literally every person across Australia our hearts are breaking as we watch this incredibly beautiful country burn and the horrific impact on the flora and fauna, along with the loss of life, homes and livelihoods. The incredibly show of community and Au...stralian spirit we have seen out of this devastation, well it makes me proud to be an Australian. So we have been trying to work out what we can do, how can we help in any way - the needs are endless and overwhelming to say the least. As a group we have decided to support The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park - they are being over run with injured animals and need as much help as they can. We have always made our own GF Rice based stuffing, but we have decided to make a change - our stuffing is now still 100% GF, but now with a more subtle flavour of Sage, Garlic and Onion. We hope you enjoy...the big chick reckons its excellent!
