21.01.2022 With the weather warming up here in Oz, Ive had many people looking for more natural alternatives for repelling fleas, flies, mozzies and the dreaded ticks. My favourite blends are using terraarmour, peppermint, cedarwood and lemongrass. You can also add lavender, patchouli, rosemary or geranium depending on the scent you like best. For tick prone areas we add turmeric and grapefruit both known for their ability to repel ticks. The blends can be made up and you can dilute t...hem with water, shake well and spray on your dogs, I prefer to use a brush and paint the inside of my dogs legs and belly. You can add the oils undiluted to a fabric collar worn by the dog, but remember you only need a few drops. The blends are diluted equivalent to about 1 drop of essential oils to a teaspoon of coconut oil. Depending on your area if you are prone to mosquitoes or ticks so choose your rates accordingly. Below is the repellent blend I use on my dogs 20 drops terraarmour 20 drops peppermint 20 drops lemongrass 10 drops cedarwood. The terraarmour is the outdoor repellent blend used on us humans for mozzies and flies, it also comes in a handy pump spray or you can dilute it and make your own. 20.01.2022 Im one of those people that only gets 4 hours sleep, then has to get up, go back to bed for 2 hours and wake up again, then another 2 hours, so it can take a good 12 hours to get 7-8 hours sleep which is near impossible. Monday night I went to bed and couldnt get to sleep yet I was so tired I couldnt stop yawning that much I had tears running down my face. To understand why it’s so important to use natural prevention we need to know a little more about chemical flea and powerfulworm tre...atments and how they work. Food grade diatomaceous earth is made from tiny sea creatures it dehydrates the parasites and their eggs so they die. Make sure you buy FOOD GRADE care should be taken not to breath in the powder by you or your pet. It can be used to sprinkle around the home to kill parasite and their eggs. Dust DE powder through coat if fleas are present then shampoo out taking care not to let your dog breath it in.
