20.01.2022 ChildD were excited to be back with our first face-to-face sessions for 2021 after well-deserved holidays. We welcome families to visit us on Mon&Tues at QCLASS (at Woolloongabba) and on Saturdays (once a month) at Westside at Taringa. We also offer Telehealth for patients who struggle to travel or who aren’t based in Brisbane. #kidsnutritionist #nutritionbrisbane #brisbanedietitian #kidsnutritionbrisbane

12.01.2022 A bit late in day 3 of our healthy lunchbox show. These beautiful creations show an egg, mayo & lettuce sandwich; cheese; grain waves; beans & beetroot hummus; date & oat square. A perfect volume for primary school kids, with a lovely variety of textures. The small treat portions get a health tick, and a tick. Even the cheese is portioned from a larger block. The egg and cheese are great non-meat proteins and the beans are a great option for kids that like crunchy foods that aren’t too wet. #healthylunchideas #healthylunchboxideas #healthykidsfood #schoollunch #kidsnutritionist #kidsdietitianbrisbane #fiveaday

11.01.2022 Week 4 of term 1. Who is sick of making lunches already?! Over the next 2 weeks @childd_brisbane are going to share details of what makes a perfect school lunch for growing bodies and brains. These lunches will be for different ages but are all healthy include at least one fruit for good habits include at least one serve of vegetables to help meet their five-a-day have a good source of protein for growing muscles include good quality carbohydrates for perfect brain... fuel and don’t rely on single use plastic to help the . For each, @childd_brisbane will talk about why it gets . To kick it off, lunch #1! Packed in seperate containers for different breaks. A nectarine, two served of vegetables, a peanut butter sandwich on wholemeal plus cheese cubes (protein). And for second break, a slice of banana bread. This is a good size for an early primary school child. Any bigger and they’ll run out of time to eat it before play, or leave the healthy stuff. #healthylunchbox #healthylunchboxideas #healthykidsfood #kidseatincolour #noplasticplease #kidsnutrition #dietitianapproved #dietitianbrisbane See more

09.01.2022 Today’s healthy lunchbox. Tuna, mayo & lettuce mini brioche; carrot cake bliss ball; cucumber & capsicum; nori & vege straw chips. A great ‘whole day’ option for primary school kids, and easy to add some fruit as extra snacks for hungry or older kids. This lunchbox ticks the balance by offering a great source of carbohydrate (the rolls) for brain food, a wonderful lean protein (the tuna) for muscles and 2 of their #5aday serves of vegetables. The straws and cake bliss bal...ls offer a crunch and sweet with a health-base and are in small, appropriate portions. This means they aren’t going to fill small tummies, so the good stuff gets eaten. An extra tick for lots of different textures plus no single packets make this a wonderful #environmentallyfriendly option also. #kidslunchbox #healthykids #kidslunchboxideas #kidseatincolour #kidsnutritionist #brisbanedietitian See more

01.01.2022 ChildD do not usually consider ourselves gardeners. We encourage people to eat them, but grow them?! That’s a different caper. So you can imagine our delight when we threw our vegetable and fruit scraps in a part of our garden bed, mixed it into the soil and voila! Three months later, and thanks to the rain, we have a crop! It shows that eating healthy can be cheaper without that much effort. Now, ideas on what to make?! #pumpkins #accidentalgardener #kidsnutritionistbrisbane #paediatricdietitian
