25.01.2022 The kids at Children's Corner Learning Centre today in Croyden checking breathing and learning vital life saving skills! We run our Students Save Lives incursion nationwide with our mascot Pablo the Paramedic!

24.01.2022 Since mathematics is the science of measurement, of bringing quantities outside of our perceptual range into a form we can hold in our minds, we introduce mathematics by having our children experience perceivable quantities and then derive abstract numbers from them.

23.01.2022 We spent good time with fathers and special guests this Thursday morning to have breakfast together:) This provides chances to visit children's learning environment, playing with your children, sharing ideas with educators and chatting with other families:)

22.01.2022 The Practical Life part of our program is aimed explicitly at helping children become independent. As Dr. Montessori put it: We must help them to learn how to dress and undress, to wash themselves, to express their needs in a way that is clearly understood, and to attempt to satisfy their desires through their own efforts. All this is part of an education for independence.

19.01.2022 Our toddlers were engaged in cooking experience, making vegetable soup for their own lunch:) They were curious for how vegetables look like and what feels when they touched each different vegetable. They were supported to cut the vegetables. They enjoyed to have lunch which has involved a lot of their own efforts:)

18.01.2022 Halloween dress-up day:) The children showed enthusiasm and curiosity in our Halloween dress-up event along with Halloween art and craft, which developed their curiosity, confidence, creativity and imagination!

16.01.2022 Our kinder children had a great time at Australia Post (Main Street, Croydon), extending on their learning with hand written letters that they posted to their own homes. This was a fantastic opportunity for community involvement while supporting literacy and development. Learning is made fun and purposeful:)

14.01.2022 Our toddlers took a journey to Croydon Park this week. We are so proud of our toddlers, walking with all other peers along a very busy road, being aware of road safety, recognising the traffic lights with patience to wait for traffic lights turning to the green. When we arrived there, we had exploration in Croydon Park and had heaps of fun to play in the new environment with curiosity. Having picnic in Croydon Park was really entertaining our exhausted body at the end:))

14.01.2022 Children's Corner Hair Studio was launched recently by Lena, one of our beautiful educator:) Lena not only prepares delicious and nutritious food for children, but also is a talented and skilful hair dresser. She spent her spare time to offer some fun hairstyles for our children that included braids, ponytails, hair cuts and coloured hairspray. This gave the children a chance to practice their verbal communication while expressing themselves in their own unique way. We are very lucky to have educators with skills that can be shared with children. We really appreciate her support for children's wellbeing:)

14.01.2022 Thanks for your hard work in 2019 for Children’s Corner Learning Centre. We wish you all had fun in Christmas Party and Christmas dinner night:)))

09.01.2022 How does music help kids learn? Dr Anita Collins explains.

09.01.2022 We begin preparing children for writing through various activities that help them to coordinate their fingers and strengthen their pencil grip. For example, when children manipulate cylinders or geometric insets in the Sensorial activities, they do it by grasping the knob, which is about the same thickness as a pencil, with three fingers.

09.01.2022 We celebrate Diwali, embracing diversity of culture and traditions:) Thanks for Jesh to share the beautiful traditional dresses with other colleagues:)

06.01.2022 Children are fascinated with manipulating things, with patterns, and with small objects. They enjoy repeating activities, and exploring concrete items with their hands. Our Montessori program builds upon this developmental phase, we introduce children to the fascinating world of numbers, language, practical life, sensorial, and computer program through enjoyable activities, which are carefully designed to impart a certain knowledge to our children.
