ECTA QLD apologises for any inconvenience this has caused. The cancellation was beyond our control. All registration costs will be refunded in full. 21.01.2022 Parental Consent Form which allows Kindergarten teachers to send Transition Statements directly to schools is now available for download from the QCAA website. ...This form also has a section for parents to give permission to the Prep teacher/school & Kindergarten teacher to contact each other to discuss the statement. 06.01.2022 ECTA STATEMENT NAPLAN impact on Audit Culture in QLD Education The ECTA State Coordinating Committee composed the statement below in response to concerns from m...embers regarding the ever increasing demand for data collection and the push-down of explicit teaching pedagogies. This is having a huge impact on children’s learning, engagement and wellbeing. ECTA State Coordinating Committee member Jodie Riek used research informing her current dissertation to formulate the first draft of the statement. The committee collaborated to finalise the statement, which will be forwarded to ECTA members and key stakeholders in the education and early childhood sector. The State Coordinating Committee hopes it will stimulate and inform members’ discussions around implementing appropriate pedagogies. This statement provides a clear vision on what ECTA believes is important and we hope members will share it with those who can influence the direction of early childhood education in before-school and school settings across Queensland.
