06.01.2022 My friend Jul has been helping us at Ruccis circus for the last couple of months but the time has come for her to go back to Germany. We had a little get together to say goodbye. Jul is vegetarian so I decided to make a fruit plate with a carved rockmelon, something I haven’t done for ages. The strawberries on the skewers are dipped in toffee and freeze dried raspberry powder. The whole platter took about 2 hours to create and all the hungry circus coaches took less than that to eat it. 01.01.2022 So close to Christmas now. I made 3 trays of rocky road to give out as presents to teachers and friends. It has white and dark chocolate, freeze dried raspberries, marshmallow, toffee and a spice mix I made from fresh grated nutmeg and cinnamon mixed with candied orange peel.
