24.01.2022 Restrictions Lifted! Thank you all for your patience through this time but we are now able to start doing more general procedures! We are still on level 2 restrictions, but this means we can now see you for non-urgent appointments. We still ensure a high level of infection control is being carried out throughout the day to ensure both staff and patients are safe. ... 15.01.2022 Sometimes it is difficult to get kids into the habit of brushing their teeth properly, but it is especially important that they do! They will need assistance brushing until they are around the ages 7 and 8, but even after then supervising them brushing is ideal. Even though baby teeth fall out eventually, it is still important to look after them until they are ready to fall out on their own. If they get cavities and have to come out earlier then they are meant too, it can cause the adult teeth to come through in the wrong position. It is always a good idea to start bringing your child to the dentist early in their life to get regular check ups and get used to the idea of going to the dentist!

14.01.2022 What the new COVID-19 restrictions mean to us and our patients. At Chinchilla Family Dental we already have a number of sterilisation procedures in place to ensure the practice is the cleanest it can be, but on top of these procedures more cleaning practices have been implemented to avoid the spread of germs during this time. Dental aerosols are a possible way that germs from the ultrasonic scalers and high speed handpieces spread to our staff. Aerosols is a mist that m...ixes with saliva that can spread airborne pathogens. A few things we are doing to keep everyone safe are: - Only seeing patients who require urgent treatment. - We have cancelled all general and non-urgent work. - We ask to have minimal people in the waiting room - only those who need to be there. - We have spaced appointments out to avoid having patients sitting in the reception area waiting. - If we are required to use aerosols we ensure the room is wiped completely down (which is done anyway) and the room is not used for one hour. This is to avoid any mist still floating around. Our main priority during this time is to keep our staff and patients safe. Chinchilla Family Dental would like to thank patients for being so understanding when it comes to cancelling upcoming appointments.
