Our children took part in Reconciliation week engaging in many varieties of planned learning experiences. Craft: Children engaged in aboriginal flag craft artworks , as they had to create the aboriginal flag using small pieces of red, yellow and black paper. They have created a wonderful hand print reconciliation poster with her, using red, black and yellow paint. The children were also busy making echidna using play-dough and sticks. "We made an echidna and Look, I made a rainbow echidna said" Children. This week at Chipmunks the children used a range of recycled resources including piping, tins and cardboard to discover and explore new play opportunities in the sandpit and mud kitchen. In our Preschool room this week the children continued to explore bugs as we introduce to the children our new Worm Farm. The children enjoyed discover...ing about worms through learning opportunities and hands on worm farm experiences. Our Little Explorers have been busy discovering magnetism through play and learning opportunities. The children have enjoyed creating magnetic themed crafts and discovering how magnets work through hands on science experiences. In our Tiny Wanderers room the children have continued to explore colours through sensory experiences. A new interest of Zoo Animals has come about from Family Input, the children began exploring different Zoo animals and sounds.
