13.01.2022 CHIP'S COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time, we just don't know how quickly this will evolve further. The advice we have been given is that it is currently still safe to remain open at the moment. This may change at any time & we are keeping very much on alert with all updates from State & Federal Government bodies. We would like to ensure you that we are taking this very seriously and the health of our patrons & staff is the most important thing. ... We are going to remain open with increased precautionary measures in place. - we will continue with our cleaning schedules & sanitising however increasing checks & further cleaning throughout the day & night. - you may find that our staff are wearing gloves when serving you this is preventative measures. - we will ensure there is no communal water or bottles out & the bar staff will gladly pour you a glass of water whenever you need. - hand sanitiser will be available in various locations across the venue that we encourage everyone to use frequently - to help us we will not be accepting cash & encourage you to use pay pass. - all staff have been briefed & we will continue to keep everyone updated with any further information that develops. Please know Chip's is a family run business with staff who rely on our doors being open for income - we understand that many people have decided to self isolate & we encourage this. And remember our food menu is available on Ubereats to order. We have cancelled our Trivia & Comedy nights until further notice to ensure we are limiting events at this stage. This is affecting all industries & small businesses. Please remember we are all people behind these businesses that are just trying to do what is right & with the information we are given. We will continue to keep updating our customers & staff as more instructions or notices are issued. 05.01.2022 Next Friday November 6th, Chip gets BACK ON THE BEERS!!! We might even have a couple from higher up on the shelf.. To say this has been the toughest year for us yet is an understatement. We didn’t know if a reopening was even possible after being closed for so long but it is happening!! We would really like to say thank you and show our appreciation to the love & support from our beautiful community in Footscray. We’ve missed you! ... We will be operating on limited hours, alongside our covid safety protocols, introducing a brand new menu & of course; all the sport nice & loud!
