19.01.2022 In light of some states shutting down non-essential services, the Federal Health Minister has confirmed that ALL allied health businesses nationally can conti...nue working and are encouraged to do so. The Minister has also indicated that the Australian Government Department of Health is now developing full allied health telehealth options, along with other health and medical services, within the week. This will be part of a staged plan and he encourages providers to continue vital face-to-face services where possible. The ACA represents the chiropractic profession as a member of Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA), who are currently liaising with the Department of Health regarding this development and will be meeting with the Department shortly to discuss details for allied health items. The practice nurses are screening everyone before they enter the building so just give yourself a few more minutes than usual. We have had no positive cases of the virus in the building and the nurses are following best practice to keep us that way so thank you to them. While the day might start a little differently we hope to keep you moving well as its important to look after yourself and your loved ones in times of stress.
