24.01.2022 2013 was a year of big bets we moved from the park to Cromer and became a real gym, and we chucked in all of our savings to back three good mates as they embarked on their dream of making Australia’s first ever premium gin. Fast forward to 2020 and here we are handing out bottles of our very own Gym Gin. The best gin in the world. Pinch us. That’s right, today our extended family at the Yarra Valley-based distillery @fourpillarsgin were declared the International Gin Pr...oducer of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 51st International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC). The IWSC is the world’s longest-running, largest and most prestigious spirits competition with more than 4000 entries from distilleries across the globe. In 2019, Four Pillars was the first Australian distillery to win any International Producer of the Year title and going back-to-back cements its position at the very top of the world of gin producers large and small. Co-founder and Distiller, Cameron Mackenzie (who also happens to be an ex-Olympian and bloody good bloke) said it best: This is a triumph for strength over adversity, for professionalism and passion in the face of what sometimes in 2020 seemed insurmountable odds. This is a victory for every single person in the Four Pillars world but most particularly for everyone at Healesville who has faced so much uncertainty and difficulty this year but has never stopped putting in the hard yards. 20.01.2022 Chocolate Box Training will be closed until midnight Wednesday 23rd of December. We are planning to re-open Thursday (24th) but as quickly as things change, we will just adjust as we go. Layts been here since the very beginning, helped build this place up from a patch of grass to what CBT is today & there’s not a person here who’s name she doesn’t know or want to know! She may not like the limelight at all but her massive smile & excitement for all things fitness is infectious. You can be assured, if L...ayts is around you’ll not only train hard but laugh hard too! You can usually find her in one of 3 places.. 1. Around the gym 2. On the footy field (you’ll hear her before u see her) or 3. Out on the ocean rowing a surf boat. And if you can’t find her in any of those places, chances are she’s ADVENTURING! Layts is our adventure queen, whether it’s overseas adventures like Kokoda, Everest or Bali, local endurance events or bush bashing..she will make sure you are pushing yourself to the unthinkable, whilst she has the schedule fine tuned to the minute for maximum fun & good times! She’s the best cheer squad you will ever have (& the loudest) & will show you are capable of doing things you never thought possible! She will believe in you & ensure you always have your ‘glutes on’! The best bit about our Layts is her passion for the people of CBT. 09.01.2022 This week meet the one and only- DICKIE! A.k.a. -Laura, grew up on the stage in bright lights and sparkly costumes, whether it was in a huge theatre in front of a massive crowd or in the living room for her mum. Dance has always been a big part of her life and she was so hell bent on becoming a dancer that she left school early to pursue it. "Truthfully, I always shook my head at people who trained in the gym and never really understood why you would want to run on a treadm...ill for an hour? It wasn't until years of overuse, and dance related injuries came to a head, that I found myself down at Choccy Box mid PT session realising I was completely wrong and that these guys don't even own a treadmill! CBT has been my go-to place for my daily dose of endorphins for over 5 years now and has inspired me to help others find their best self too!" In 2018, Laura was able to combine her love for both fitness and dance when she became a certified Barre Attack instructor and with continued education she now holds 3x Advanced Barre Attack Certifications under her belt. You can catch her over in Studio Ellipsis producing some of Sydney's finest peaches 3 times a week, or tapping away at the keyboard and welcoming our beautiful clients from behind the reception desk on the other days. "Choccy Box has opened my eyes to a whole new world of movement and has allowed me to maintain my love for dance pain-free. My goal is to one day be able to educate dancers and break the stigma that "ballerinas shouldn't lift" so that they too can move stronger, safer and with more confidence as they excel in their field as Artistic athletes.
