17.01.2022 'Fearful of being heard' Many children and young people have a fear of being heard when they sing. I can't remember going through this as a child but I certainly understand what it is like as a parent. You want your child to 'perform' on stage, you want them to sing louder. My own daughter didn't want to sing in front of others. She was fearful of anything where she felt she was the centre of attention, where others would be 'watching' her. Even book week parade, dancing ...shows, talking on skype to family...this all took heaps of time. Sometimes these beautiful voices and characters need time. With gentle encouragement and the skills we teach at Choirs4kids for confidence building they will soon be singing out. We have to give them time. Enjoy the process and encourage little steps. Our online Choirs4kids programs are all about the love of singing, connecting, being free without being heard. This means that the singers can simply SING. Gently they move to becoming more confident which is beautiful to see.

13.01.2022 You might be finding that your child's usual school activities are not running as they start back (UK, EU, USA). Maybe they aren't able to sing together at school for the start of their school year. We can help. ZoomSing is a program that we do really well...across the globe!... We have an initial 4 week block from 1st Sept to 26th Sept so that you can try and see how it fits with your lifestyle and how your child enjoys it. Then we have our regular 10 week block where you can take your 10 lessons, one per week or two if you prefer and have your child connect with other kids who simply love to sing. We sing upbeat, popular songs and then in our 10 week block we will be unveiling our Christmas project online and we can't wait to have your child be part of that. Want to know more? 11.01.2022 ZoomSing provides a level playing field. No matter the students' background, age, ability, location, physical appearance, race, gender, clothes, likes, dislikes....... They can all be as one in ZoomSing. It's interesting why this works so well, but even in our group in person sessions you would find some kids 'not fitting in'. Online is accessible to everyone. So cool

05.01.2022 Today starts 5 weeks of learning about the voice for me! A course that I've been trying to do since March! Now I can finally do it and online... Yippee. Onlin...e voice training is ideal as it allows practice whilst learning rather than having to be quiet whilst the presenter is talking. Excited to be on day one of Estill Voice Training Levels 1 & 2.

04.01.2022 Just two more sleeps till we sing together again in Perth... This will be the first time we'll have heard the kids singing together since march! Our In-person workshops are on this Saturday in the city centre.. Just grab the train and relax whilst we sing with your kids... A perfect start to the weekend. #facesing #ZoomSing3

04.01.2022 Are you missing our in person singing? We have moved to a weekly online model with monthly in person singing workshops. These workshops are for everyone - you don't have to be part of the online program to come along! We do sing the songs we have been doing over the term but you will be provided with videos to learn the songs before the session if you would like to - also they are quite well known songs for the workshops.... In each age group we work on different vocal skills, build on confidence and have a good old sing! We learn at least one new song, have a go at writing some lyrics, and throw the parachute up and down of course! We love our FaceSing workshops. They give the kids a chance to meet their online friends and to hear their voices. The weekly ZoomSing sessions are proving to be the best thing too - the kids are more confident, they grasp the technology so fast and their voices are developing through our coaching. 03.01.2022 Hearing children sing in the home is such a beautiful thing for everyone. 'I love to hear my child sing around the house and hearing them be part of a unique, engaging music program whilst connecting with other kids across the world is amazing. Last week they were talking about Christmas lunch traditions in Italy, UK, Australia, Philippines, Spain and Jakarta!' Our ZoomSing programs are rapidly becoming known for much more than singing. Discussions about food, lifestyle, schooling, favourite toys, hobbies, music choices are part of our older students lessons. These key conversations gives the students connection and therefore...my favourite word 'CONFIDENCE'.
